This is not that.I tried Hormel chili a while back on a whim and it was surprisingly good. Not in a "I expected it to make my stomach turn inside-out" way, but in a "Holy 𤬠this is good" kind of way.![]()

Funnily enough, I just saw a local magazine called 'Pints of View' and it names a classic old pub called "The Jolly Judge" as Edinburgh's Cider Pub of the Year. The pub is in a close just off The Royal Mile, approx 200 yds/2 mins from where you are staying (I think). It was actually stop #1 on my list of Edinburgh pubs to visit when @Sage was here, but annoyingly it was closed! That said, we hardly had enough time to visit the remainder of the pubs on my list - a pub crawl in Edinburgh is fun whether you are drinking anything or not, as it is a beautiful city with lots of great venues.Between my broken taste buds (supertaster) and my wife's gluten intolerance, we're not big beer drinkers but we do both like ciders.
I'm a big fan of Ramen, but it is expensive and not always that good here. I had Ramen in Japan several times, and it was amazing - but I think that has set an impossible standard to replicate here.Tonkotsu Ramen - Shoyu broth.

Jeez. And I thought 6 Fahrenheit was bad here in Baltimore. That tuna looks really good.
thanks. something like this could've saved me from the Chocolate Covered Pretzel Oreos LIESIf you're at Walmart and come across this and think "that doesn't sound so bad, I'll give it a try", let me save you the trouble - they're good, but they aren't OMFG amazing.

Hungry now. That looks awesome enough that I needed to comment. Whatās the green stuff though? My first pizza of 2026 šView attachment 1509893
Still trying to stick to the challenge of using leftover ingredients at home.
Thanks, turned out good lol especially since I havenāt baked one in months. The green stuff is just mixed greens like arugula, spinach and other stuff. Theyāre super earthy to the point where they cut through the pizza flavor.Hungry now. That looks awesome enough that I needed to comment. Whatās the green stuff though?
This looks fantastic!Mapo Tofu and Spicy Pork Belly Claypot rice.

Woooaahh. Thatās awesome. How was the taste overall? Iād imagine a game taste, but Iām curious about how the sausage process changed that. Also, what casing did you use?View attachment 1510521
Made sausage yesterday from Whitetail we harvested last fall. Processed about 200lb of meat.View attachment 1510522
Test tasted it before stuffing it.
Iām getting heartburn just looking at the packet.
My thoughts exactly - I was absolutely love that packet, but it wouldn't love me.Iām getting heartburn just looking at the packet.
I think that would seriously do me in now. My tolerance for hot-n-spicy foods has gone.
