Prologue question...

Will the Japanese. version of GT4: Prologue function on th North American (US) version of PS2?

Even if it's all Japanese, all I care is that it works.

It will work if you have a modchip or a swap disc + card....no there is no US version of Prologue.

Are mod chips hard to install?

I work with computer hardware but I don't do alot of soldering :\

Ps2s are harder to insall the xbox chips that need soldering. I cant say easy or not but I am sure if you are not able to install then you can easily find an installer.

If you do go for a chip then go for a DMS3 or Messia 2 pro
Both have good components and have been around for a while. Both chips can be turned of in case you want to go online

DMs3 however can upgrade its bios and has a hdd tool, not alot of use from the hdd tool but being upgradable means its relatively future safe.

But whatever you do, go for a modchip.
