Link added & i made it official due that others are on other games so i thought it would be OK to do that.

If not, i'll change title.

I suspect the reason you got the responses you did is based on how most people start a new game thread by including pics, videos, links and as much info as they have or can reasonably find.

For example, check out the first post of the following threads:

Detailed and informative first posts also don't need to be restricted to just an official game thread. Personally, if I start a thread, I try and include as much information and links to more info that I think would be useful and helpful for others to get more value from the thread and have a post that can easily be checked and referenced for future use. Like:

So perhaps you can post some detailed info about Prototype, maybe include some pics and or videos, or at least some multiple links for others to follow?

Prototype looks AWESOME! From the trailer i saw, i hope the game plays out well. It looks like a hyped up better "InFamous" if you ask me. Wider range of powers and abilities. I really enjoyed "InFamous" so hopefully Prototype will not let me down. I will be getting it for the xbox360 (through Gamefly) but both versions should be the same.

/\ 10 Reasons to get Prototype, it's the trailer that sold me. :)👍

The trailer looks interesting, but I would like to see how it pans out in multiplayer. Things could become very hectic with loads of people flying around like that! 👍

/\/\ I haven't seen anywhere multiplayer is listed? If so is it co-op or player vs. player type?

I have the 360 version.

I finally had a chance to beat the main campaign for Prototype last night since I finished up most of my projects around the house.

Holy crap a couple of those boss battles took forever. I wont spoil anything but that one boss battle took me 2 hours to beat. I would have beat it in an hour but I got very very unlucky. I had the energy all the way down as low as you can imagine. Then I went to skyjack a helicopter. Right as I was doing that it flew out of bounds and instantly failed me and I had to start all over again. I was furious. One hour of battling and then that happened to me. :grumpy: So I put another hour into it and finally beat that boss. I highly suggest you level your character up as much as possible before going too far in the campaign.

My total time to complete the story was about 11 hours. I still plan to go back and get some of the other achievements and try to level my guy up all the way. I have the rental for 4 more days and then I will be returning the game. Overall it was a great game but I just found myself having more frustration than having fun.

Stuck now on mission where you have to stop the transport copters from leaving, any tips anyone?

Comparing this to Infamous, overall Infamous has the edge. But the fast paced action in Prototype was awesome

Is that towards the end of the game? If so, I found the rocket launcher to be pretty handy.

Yes, the next to last mission. Thanks I'll try to pick up a rocket launcher and give chase.

My biggest problem on this one is its hard to not take a wrong turn, then lose too much time.

You're going to need a couple of them. But you can hit the helicopters from a good distance.

Or just run/parkour/spiderman after them and use the whipfist.. two hits is usually enough to bring down a chopper. 1 hit if you have time to charge the attack.

Done, I found the best way was to hijack copters and shoot the transports down. I finished story mode, the Hybrid battle was not as bad as I feared. Now gong to start a new game and do it again.

it's too much fun to cause mayhem in this game. Super Soldiers are annoying though, as well as Leader Hunters.

You must really love the "Close Contact"event then, you have to kill super soliders while being chased by hunters. :sly:

yup. :D I'm currently tracking down the Web of Intrigue-targets.. while randomly destroying military base or hive that happens to be nearby. oh yeah, easy way to make Evolution Points is destroying hives and infected watertowers.

I've got all the web targets, just trying to locate all the hint and landmark orbs. sometimes the web targets are in military bases, once you infiltrate the base as a commander they are inside.

yeah, that's quite difficult feat after finishing the storyline since there's like gazillion virus detectors and trigger happy bazooka guys who will shoot you and the commander before you have chance to consume him.

The trick is,after you finish the game start a new one and you have a fully equipped Alex right from the start. Then after you do the first couple of missions the military bases will appear and they dont even have viral detectors yet ,all you do is walk up to commander,(in a military disquise) do a stealth consume and your in. Without even causing an alert.
Also was wondering has anyone bothered to unlock "hard" mode, and if so whats it like?

I usually just steal a tank, drive it inside the base, wait for the commander to appear, jump out, consume and dash in ASAP. lot more fun that way. :D

I finally got around to beating the game (bunch of side-missions i didn't do). Overall i liked and enjoyed the game, but there are some parts of the game that really try your patience. At some points i found myself yelling at the game "This isn't fun anymore" on some aggravating parts. The Final Boss battle being one of them. I was anticipating Prototype to be better than Infamous, which for the most part it was, but the story telling and flow of the game, i liked Infamous a bit better. Infamous was a little less hectic where i fealt like i was more in control of the scenario's instead of just trying to live while button mashing. :)👍

Yeah it can be intense, but it makes it even better when you live through it. For me the "cartoon" graphics of Infamous were the deal breaker.

and nothing is more sadistically satisfying that hearing people beg for mercy.. :trouble: before you throw them across the street, slice and dice them, or simply curb stomp them out of annoyance.
