Any word on a demo yet? I may possibly get this for christmas once i've had my fill of SCC as GT5 is now delayed, but I want to try before someone else buys :)

I've held-off buying this until I try the demo too...not entirely happy with the feedback so far though.

Just downloaded it from the US PS store. It doesn't appear to be on the UK or other European ones yet.

Have the demo. It comes with 5 cars (all mod'd out): Lotus Elise, BMW M3 (E46), Dodge Viper SRT-10, and Nissan GTR (R35), and the Pagani Zonda F. There are two events on two tracks; Spa, and London. You have to earn five stars (the max) each race to gain access to the Zonda F. You earn 3 stars for pole finish on both and two other stars are awarded for different achievements in each event. In London its lead an entire lap, and beat lap time 1:30.000. In Spa its reach 149 MPH and beat lap time 2:50.00. I've done all stars without any real problem except the 1:30.00 London, I can't beat that for the life of me! The closest I've gotten (that I've been able to see the time for) is 1:34.5 with the Viper and 1:35 with the GTR. If anyone has any tricks please let me know!

After spending some time with the demo, I may pick this up when Ican get it for around $10 used. Not very impressed.

Yeah, I just found it too. SCEE are sooooo slow putting stuff up on the store compared to XBL though.

It's irritating.

So, how are you supposed to unlock the Zonda? The stars don't accumulate!!

I wish my Works S2000 drove like the cars in this demo. If I didn't know what I know about the flaws in the full game, I would more than likely buy the game.

The US PSN Store was updated last night :shocking:

Well I played it for an hour or so last night:

1. The graphics aren't as good as GT5P in general, but they are better than FC and are certainly good enough. The exception being cockpit view which I didn't like at all.

2. Physics are strange, but I think that's been covered in the physics thread. It feels like it is on the brink of being much better.

3. Steering. This is my biggest problem. I'm using a DFGT wheel and it feels horrible. There's a massive dead zone which I can improve but not really get rid of. The steering also lacks feel and is extremely light a lot of the time. The FFB seems very weak and uncommunicative, but then suddenly it feels OK, even good, while cornering and then it's back to poor again.

If they could fix point 3 I think the good things in the game would be enough for me to buy it.

Just downloaded this morning, just played it with my DS3, not impressed. It felt like I was driving a V8 powered spring horse.

Maybe it's just the DS3, and I'll try it with my DFGT when I get back from my trip.

I have the Supercar Challenge demo, and I actually like it's handling much better, though neither NFS, or SC feel as planted as GT5P.

Cars should be able to drive in a straight line, not see saw back and forth. I've raced formula fords, and formula dodges, and I can tell you from my experience so far NFS demo with a DS3 sucks the thrill right out of me.

I'll wait to cast my final judgment until I give it a whirl with the wheel.

I've just played the demo and I think it's the worst demo I've ever played. The handling is appauling at best. I don't know how anyone could possibly drive precisely as all I ever did was drift the smallest of corners. I really believed that this could be a good game but the demo has confirmed that it's got worse handling that NFS:Underground.
