A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:
[Correction of Known Issues]
We have corrected an issue where it was possible to shortcut on the Special Stage Route 7 course.
[To Check Your Current Version]
To check the version of your software, press the "Manual" button at the bottom of the main menu screen. The version number will be located on the upper left of the index page in this manual.
If the number starts with "Ver. 1.07.544", you are playing the latest version of the game.
If not, please press PS button and quit the game. The game will be updated automatically when you restart it with your PS3 connected to internet.

i read that the ps3 update was a firmware update including a couple other things for playstation plus users

In my opinion they could have just waited until they had something reasonable to also put into the patch, rather than making me update just for this error.

it seems PS Plus members have a Cloud save option...this is where you can back up your save on online servers... why did GT5 do this? instead of having our own back up! this way we could have a no limit trading again. this way people cant dupe & everyone is happy

Why do you haters out there feel that duping and glitching are cheating? is it because it wasn't meant to be played in that way? ....like the saying goes..."don't hate the player, hate the game"...
The designer of the game created this glitch and the players just exploited it.
They could have fixed this glitch a long time ago but waited until now.
Same goes for the duping.....
I exploited the game and I'm loving it! does it mean that i can't enjoy the game just as much as you? heck no! I'm enjoying the game just as much or even more. You're either jealous or just ignorant.

I want all the nice cars so what am I to do? Grind out boring races? No way. I want the easy option and will always take the easy option because it makes sense this way. Most people will take the easy option too if they can. People will always find an easy option and most will follow.

I'm doing the 24hr Le Mans, new update came up. Can i choose cancel for the meantime? or race will quit when i choose Ok?
How can you say this. The track wasn't designed with that in mind and it was more likely a lapse in the programming leading to an exploit.
To me it's similar to benefit fraud as you are cheating the system for your own gain, however it doesn't affect me so it didn't bother me.
The "Glitchers" should be happy that they were able to make so much money from cheating the system, and now the problem has been addressed they'll move on and find something else to exploit.

did anyone else notice that the Glitch was found the same day the trade limit was set? try this- delete your patches to V 1.00... the glitch wasnt there...it came with v 1.07.
