PS3 update 3.60 and GT5 update 1.80.....

I got the 3.60 PS update but I don't recall having to download the 1.08 GT5 update. Do the Gran turismo team leave a message confirming there has been an update in the game? because no message for me.
 
the 1.08 update appeared while bob is doing his 24 hours of le mans.. is it safe not to choose the update and let me finish the race first?

There is no update 1.08 yet for any of the PAL zone countries it seems.

Why do you haters out there feel that duping and glitching are cheating? is it because it wasn't meant to be played in that way? ....like the saying goes..."don't hate the player, hate the game"...

The designer of the game created this glitch and the players just exploited it.
They could have fixed this glitch a long time ago but waited until now.

Same goes for the duping.....

I exploited the game and I'm loving it! does it mean that i can't enjoy the game just as much as you? heck no! I'm enjoying the game just as much or even more. You're either jealous or just ignorant.

Really? I'm currently doing the 24hr endurance Bspec when the update notice appeared. Nothing happened though, hopefully nothing should happen after the race.
 
My B-Spec race finished without interruption but I was not able to do any online portions of the game this morning. You will probably be blocked from going online if your version isn't current.

The glitch fix update is irrelevant to me, I'm too proud and stupid to cheat, so I torture myself by trying to get to 40 the hard way.

But the PS update was great. The wireless controller FINALLY is able to shut itself off! When I switched from 360 to PS3 last year I couldn't believe the controller wouldn't turn itself off... My wife and son leave it on ALL THE TIME. So, I'm verry happy with this change.

👍 I like it but you gotta pay to either 1 yr subscription (Plus) or 3 month subscription. I'll just bring my (2cent) USB. but cool tho.

Already a subscriber, have been since day 1 of PS+. It is WELL worth it IMO. Get free games and 1 hr demos of FULL games. So if it has caught your attention and you want to finish the game you can buy it digitally. Its like a game audition. If the hour is up and you aren't interested in the game no loss. I have gotten several games free, including Wipeout HD. And a few game beta MPs which are pretty cool. Discounted DLC and games etc etc.

I look at it that I paid 50$ for it, and have gotten at least 50 hours of entertainment out of it so far (I think I have 6 months left or so on my subscription, 50$ for 15 months)...so we are talking less then 1$ per hour. I'll take that over a movie anyday.

Not an option.....it said there is an update. The only option was X Enter.....that was it! So I did, and boom goes the dynomite. :yuck:

Was doing 9h Tsukuba B-spec and got the message (second time this happens) and just as last time I just hit PS button to activate DS3 controller and hit O then PS button again to turn off controller.

The PS3 has offered that feature for awhile now. The update allows you to set the time of the desired controller shut off (I think it was defaulted to 1 hour of non-use before the update). 👍
 
i have no idea why it was ever so long, it should have been about 15-20 mins always, long enough that you didnt just go get a drink or answer the door but short enough that you dont waste the battery sitting there for an hour doing nothing. And how hard is it to just press the PS button to reconnect it? not, thats how

yer i know but also we paid for it aswell so why cant we play the way we want.
i play mario 64 still just to find glitches then i laugh about it later when i see gt5 what 15 years better still has glitches :)

The install process will not start. I have tried various methods, such as downloading the update onto my USB but it just gets stuck on "please wait".

I've even taken out my HDD and put in back in again, after searching for a solution on Google, but still no luck.

This is the first time that my PS3 cannot install a firmware update. Can anyone give me some help?
 
In my opinion it's a flipping video game, even caring about how someone else plays it is beyond me.

I saw someone earlier compare it to something like insurance fraud...cheating the system. So is a shooter game murder? I think it would be if it was in a country that congress had not made a declaration of war.....Exploiting a glitch in a shooter game could get you life +20.

It's not reality, and blaming people who used the trading rules to their advantage or glitches for PD's crackdown now is silly. It's there, people find it, PD fixes it....that is and will always be the cycle. They set the rules based on what they want us to get away with.

I applaud the people who were smart enough not to sign out last night, I wish I had thought of it. But it's gone now and it was fun while it lasted. I guess "autogrinding" can become the new moral infraction.

As for complaining about the content of the update, what more are we expecting? (I'm asking in earnest here) I thought that we had the game and they would just fix some bugs that they found along the way no? What is expected in the "big" update? (again, I'm asking seriously)

I had a hell of a time with 3.56 because I had an older ps3 and the rom/ram was set up differently or something. Supposedly the only reason you couldn't update was if you had a jailbroken ps3 but mine was not. It was over a week before I finally borrowed another ps3, swapped the hard drive, updated, then put my old hard drive back in that I could get it to work, I hope this update does not cause people a similar problem...mine updated fine.

It just stopped me in the middle of a race.....

v1.08, then would not let me sign in to the PSN because a new system update is out v3.60.....

Didn't see anything on this yet....so FYI!

Ok, I'm just going to leave it for a day.

If it doesn't go from 99 to 100% then I'm just gonna format my HDD or soemthing.

Am having the same sort of problem ... gets to about 9% then stops

Good internet connection and all and never had a problem like this before
