RRoDzaaah!
The December issue of PSM has yet another preview of GT4. While it is only one page, it's still a good read. Gotta love those great muscle cars!

thanx

I got my issue just yesterday, and I'm beyond pissed that PD still insists on using dusk for Laguna Seca.

I have never seen or heard of a race at Laguna that took place at dusk. All the races I've been to were held in the afternoon.

Granted, we Californians are rewarded with spectacular sunsets that are purple-pink with clouds of dark blue-gray and white that PD as seemed to have nailed perfectly, but that doesn't mean we want to race to it. Laguna is a midday race course, so if PD want to be a true "Driving Simulation" they should use the correct time of day.

Stop showing off your great graphic skills PD and give us a midday Laguna please.

i completely agree with you
i hate Dusk Laguna Seca

Who cares what time of day a track is shown in, there are a lot of other things that PD could impove upon in GT4.

Anyway thanks for the article:)

I agree with you too, Solid Lifters.

I care. How would you feel if a midday course like Trial Mountain was held a night, and at night only? That just wouldn't be cricket!

Yes but don't think there are better things to think about in regards to things that should be changed for GT4. I mean I am all for any little things PD can do to make the game more realistic but this track thing is at the bottom of my wishlist.

What's at the top?

This dusk thing makes me crap a cold, purple twinkie, so I would like to see it disappear. I first would like to see racing mods for some of the over 500 cars making it into GT4. Then maybe shorter courses, and HP restricted races. The ability to work on your car in the garage sounds nice too, that way you can set up your car for a certain HP race, if HP restricted races are included.

Changing the time of day to the afternoon instead of dusk at Laguna would make GT4 just a little bit more realistic.

"True Driving Simulator" would be driven at any time of day. "True Racing Simulator" would be midday. I dont recall there being any lights at Laguna.

True if the want a true "DRIVING SIMULATION" they could do it at anytime of day that they see fit, If this game was a Racing game then it would be midday... Anywho I think it would be cool if you could choose day and night on some tracks and midday and dusk for others, and maybe weather effects hmmm maybe on the PS3 i supposed but thats too far down the road to think about so for now i'll settle for anything really lol...

in a video of gt racing (i think) i once saw laguna seca being raced at what looked like night...or very early morning, in very heavy rain. that was insane to watch...

To include, this is a screen shot from some old video footage of GT4 in action that I think uses the old GT3 engine.

Plus PSM use there own method of taking screen shots from videos, and adding them as pictures to their magazine. I have been a subscriber to this magazine for a long time, and whenever they do it, you get the same results as the above pic every time. The quality is poor. The game always looks better when you buy and play it, so there is no need to worry about the graphic quality of GT4, or GT4 Prologue.

i'd liek to be able to adjust the boost presure of turbocharged cars like in GT2 i think it was - i think it'd be a cool feature lag vs peak HP and would allow u to tune it for specific HP class races like somoene had mentioned. Also would be nice to push more than 2bar through a motor. maybe a 3 bar gauge this time? :) 3 bar on a 2jz or rb26 would be absolutely wicked :D
