Because obtaining standards with 0 miles is available only through tickets, OCD and gifting. This makes them a bit harder to come by. Having a fully 0/0/0 makes it completely untouched. Which is why I seek them out personally.

Not true.I can hop in any one of my cars and do anything I wish to it,except drive it of course,and maintain the 0/0/0 tags.
I can paint or wash the car,change the rims,rebuild the engine,anything except drive the thing.And you can do it again and again to the same car if you wish to change something later.I can even Race Mode a car with the 0/0/0 tags intact.I have a complete set..👍
I stumbled onto this about a year ago and there's no hack or glitch involved so don't worry about that side of it.
When you hop in your car in your garage before you do anything else go into your cars setting as if you're going to tune it.Now alter a setting,any setting(just by one number is enough).I usually tell people to alter their brake settings because all cars have brakes and if it's a new car you may have to to buy something to alter otherwise.Brakes are free.Now that you've done that you're free to do whatever you wish with the car.
That's it! That's all you need to do to maintain the 0/0/0.
Just remember you have to be in the car first for it to work!
