Does anybody know how to make your blinkers faster? Do you have to cut a wire or install something or some thing totally different? Its a 04 Sentra SE-R V Spec

BAsically it is a clock IC chip that should control the blinker speed in theory. The Sentra might have some clock chipset that you can replace with another that will change the speed of it. . .

You can do it by snipping a wire. By cutting the wire you are disabling another light that you probably want though.

I believe it is illegal to have them flashing too fast anyway.

It's not - in fact, the idea behind quicker signals is for the vehicle to let the operator know that the bulb is going out. I've got no idea why anybody would want to do that...

Why would anyone want this? Every car I see with fast blinkers I just think "that guy needs a new bulb".

If you get that then people will probably think the same about you. You'll look like an idiot with a fast blinker that won't burn out ever. As a matter of fact, if you make it faster, it'll burn out sooner since it'll be on more.

...unless he shortens both the time between flashes, and the time the flashes take. Which is probably what he would do.

edit: and in response to mods-for-gays, I know in middle school it seems cool to call people "gay", but there are grown ups posting here, and honestly it makes you look bad.

Fast Blinkers look so dumb. It's just asking for a ass kicking. Is it a coinicidence that most cars that have it are on a 4 cylinder and a big exhaust tip.

What the hell are you talking about? :p

Go outside, look at the sticker on your car, realize that you drive a Spec V, not a V Spec.
Then bookmark this page: http://www.google.com
This is a search engine. It can help you find things like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...tem=2475326365&category=42613&sspagename=WDVW

What a piss-poor excuse for this madness! No one but total ricers would think this. Average people and car enthusiasts would be like "that guy's signals are going to burn out soon".

And I didn't notice that he said "V Spec". Hah, that's like saying I own a '88 323 ES.

And then this guy disses on us because many of us are questioning his rice-ness.

If he doesn't like us he can take his "V Spec" and hit the road.

You'll find that most of the people here at GTP don't take kindly to rice, or non performance realted modifications. If you need real info on anything mechanicall I gaurantee you'll get it, but generally if it's ricy, you'll get tons of sarcastic answers ;)

Welcome to GTP BTW

I don't know why faster blinkers would work for any reason other than tuning. I don't think you'd want to make blinkers so that the car is basically a pace car for the streets. Then again, it might be illegal because you don't want to make your car like a police car (you know for sure THAT's illegal). You don't want to go up to a car and blink like crazy. A person would think you're cops. So, no. I don't know.

Hmm... I got faster blinkers but it's because I was fooling around with the configurations a long time ago. :odd: I guess you could say from my "ricer dayz". Now they are pretty messed up. I don't really care any more. They blink faster because it's not the right "number" blub in them since I switched them from the big brake light bulb to the wedge type. I was trying to avoid maing it blink fast. I can get a bigger wedge bulb and it will go back to normal. I'm just to cheap to fix it now.

Back in the good old days the device that controlled the current to the lights was a bi-metallic strip. That is why when you are behind an older car (Australians are guaranteed to have seen them on Kingswoods) the lights sometimes flash faster The bi-metallic strip is damaged. These days it uses a relay system which can;t go wrong, I installed one of these relay systems in my car and I never have the indicators flashing too fast.

I don't know maybe you want to downgrade to a Bi-Metallic strip Flasher can and remove the relay. Sixties Spec, Really Classy

Personally I don't know why you'd want to speed them up any way.
