PSA: General Rules of the Road for 11/5/16 Finale
THE SAFETY CAR / CAUTION
We may or may not have an actual Safety Car, but whether we do or don't, Safety Cars are bound to be called during the course of the day. Its quite simple: If i call a safety car over mic or text, slow down. The leader will set a pace (Typically 62mph/100kph), and the rest of us catch up. There will not be any Virtual Safety cars, as a local yellow will do the job fine enough. Typically it will take the following to trigger a SC:
1-2 car crash on Ovals
2-3 car crash on Road Course
Extreme accident (I.E. Slamming the pit wall on accident)
Poor Weather
A red fllag may also be called if the situation is major enough. If this happens I will walk you all through what to do as it happens.
And in general, please listen to me. I am a total goofball, but I have been around long enough to know what to do when certain things go awry on the game. If I tell you clear your cache, please just do it. If I tell you not to, as it won't help, please don't do it. Believe it or not, after 3 years in total on GT6, and ~2 years of Fun Runs, I know what I'm talking about.
GENERAL RACECRAFT AND SPORTSMANSHIP
It's Fun Runs. It's laid back. It's okay to mess up. It's not Burnout. I run by a "as clean as you can" type of protocol. I am okay with a bump-and-run in the final laps/corners of a race, as well, but that doesn't mean stay full throttle at the end of Nurburgring and plow into the entire field. Am I going to kick you? Most likely not, but please drive smart. You can be ambitious, you can be aggressive, but don't be stupid. Aggressive =/= Dirty.
If you are a regular, you know this already, but if you are new, while we do not follow the AUP in our lobbies, and often swear like sailors, we do NOT tolerate derogatory names toward anyone regarding their sex, race, gender, sexual orientation, whatever. If you cannot handle racing with people from all walks of life, then don't bother joining. 👍

Also, to the people tagged, if you haven't yet be sure to look at the car list a few posts above for all the things you'll need come next week. I will also happily answer any questions you may have. With that said, see you all next Saturday!!
