Reminds me of this kid...

I often wonder how much they paid that girl to act interested in that douche canoe.

I made it to 0:25 and stopped. Is that a world record right now?

Don't post that crap in here again, please. Yesterday was Friday; you do NOT get down on the weekend listening to that drivel.

Sunday? You mean FRIDAY!!!!! I don't care what day it was, It's ALWAYS a Friday! [/nazi mode]

It's going to be like the film Groundhog Day, except I'll be forced to 'get down' and shout 'FRIDAY' every day for the rest of my life

Is one Friday a week not enough for you?

If it wasn't, this song would make no sense... unless Friday comes after Sunday since Rebecca never told us what comes after that very day.

Pretty sure it does. You can get down on FRIDAY whilst looking forward to the weekend, then, when the weekend has passed, its FRIDAY again!

I don't get it...

I really don't. What happened to GOOD music?

After 500 years, all the inspiration and good melodies have vanished. Nothing is innovative anymore. Since the days of J.S. Bach music has been getting progressively better and better, but it has plummeted in the last ten years or so.

I blame rap. :D

I wish that he would shut the fa-fa-fa 🤬 up. Good god, these kids make Rebecca look like Britney Spears.

People stopped buying music (Torrents, anyone?), so companies had to resort to cheap-and-sticky music. That's why I only have music I paid for. If you don't believe me, check the quality in music alongside with music revenues trough the time. They have both cut in half over the last decade.

Music should have an age restriction. Make it 21, if you can drink then you can make music.

Fixed. Music is art, people of all ages should be able to enjoy it. However these 13-16 year old "musicians" don't make art. Not at all.

Music should have an age restriction. Make it 21, if you can drink then you can play music.

I object. Your declaration restricts kids who plays instruments really well.

I'd rather hear a high-school student play the piano, flute, or any other instrument than listen to auto-tuned voices.

For the most part, I completely agree, but every once in a while you get blown away...

He was 16 when that was released, by the way.

I stand corrected. But that was a while ago, like when people still made good music.

Then it should be more like "needing a permit to publish your music" at that age? Note that I'm in that age demographic (14 yo) and play the flute. And I'm O.K. with that kind of restrictions. Other guys my age believe that anything you can bob your head to is music.

This I agree with. However at that such a broad spectrum, it's a matter of whether one likes it or not. That's just how I make sense of it

Gay. Now I know that's possibly offensive to some people and I rightfully apologize, but....gay.

- That dude looks like a chick.
- What the 🤬 is "Iyiyiyiyi"?
- What's a 'Flo Rida'? (The only thing here I'm actually joking about)
- Where are these people coming from?
- I always liked 'Friday' in a rather comedic way, but now it's being made to look like the musical equivalent of 'Road House' compared to all this crap now.

That's right around the end of an era where you actually had to be extremely talented (as was Lang's case) to get noticed at such a young age. Now, anyone with a blank check & auto-tune can be a "singer". 👎

If anyone listens close to the Ruined "Friday" song, when she says friday, her voice squeals and crackles. This creature really can't sing. She makes Justin Beiber look like a boy.

It's always been that way, the only difference is the auto tune and the ease of getting music over the web.

There has always been crappy music that somehow gets popular, thing is as time goes bye people forget the "crap" stuff and only remember the "good" stuff, which gives the illusion that the current music sucks compared to the older stuff. If anything you should be happy that there are rap and pop artists that do still sell a lot of records and have huge concert turnouts or the music industry probably would have gone out of business years ago.

My opinions about her is ~,{~,{!+EUR,~},}+,!}~^>},+{EUR#,!{+,>{+^}~>,!+{~!EUR].|?/&;),?3;,&); !!!!!!

Let me know if I've mistranslated this.

"I love Rebecca Black, I would gladly pay 100EUR to see her live, 50EUR for her album and 1000EUR for a signed shirt, she is so awesome!!!!!!!"

Don't take that seriously, just messing with you.

Not really, because as you just said, the difference is the auto-tune.

Bad singers in the past faded away because they couldn't sing. Any live performances were instant death. Today, you can be a terrible singer & still be considered a pop hit because of the magic that is auto-tune. And unlike the past, people aren't forgetting b/c you can continue to release albums as long as the mighty auto-tune is there to make your voice sound good.

Kanye is a perfect example. Considered a "singer", yet he's shown that once he doesn't have auto-tune, he can't actually hit the notes he did with it on certain songs. He's been booed off stage for it. T-Pain is another. Can't sing worth a 🤬 but b/c of auto-tune, he remains a hit with folks.
