You're saying you want poorer textures? What!

[Sarcasm]Wait, this is a beauty contest? All this time I thought I was playing a racing simulator. :O[/Sarcasm]

That really is not what I meant, don't twist it! :indiff:

Very excited to finally be getting a new track!

I make no apologies for not worshipping at the altar of Polyphony Digital. If you guys want to keep praising and accepting mediocrity that's up to you.
While I agree in the PD worship that goes on the GT6 section, I do disagree in the "track looks really bad" aspect.

I fail to see how it can look worse than on Grid 2 without even being played, there are a few shots on track and in game, the wider shot is something Grid 2 doesn't have, as while I agree that better textures can be used to make the wide shoot look better, I'm still yet to see how it look in game.

That, aside the fact that the track assets are reorganized when it come to gameplay, as the player FOV pretty much dictates what can and what cannot be added to the track, I fail to see why would they need to make higher resolution textures of areas that players will not have access to, and will probably never see.

Woah... that's surprising, looks like Polyphony is starting to catch up their promise for monthly DLC with this new track and then another intresting content soon will came up bit by bit. Slowly but sure though, that's fine...:D:tup:

New track is always welcome. Let's see if PD now is able to implement this track into career mode.

What if the track is coming tomorrow? I think I read somewhere that the VW VGT will come with one track. Maybe it's my mind playing tricks but I'm pretty sure I read it.

So the track maybe in tomorrow update :D[/quote]
@amar212, well, what about tomorrow?

Yes they say it's the best policy :sly:

So when and why did they stop using this track in formula one?
'03 was the last Austrian GP, and from my understanding, poor facilities. Red bull spent $100m/60m GBP on new garages, grandstands, etc

Please don't bite my head off but this track looks a little bland!? Gonna watch a YouTube clip, see if it changes my thoughts...

No, it was the Dacia Duster.
I don't care. As long as we get at least one Dacia to drive around the Red Bull Ring, I can die a happy man. :P

Also, your avatar rules!

Was I dreaming or was there a video of the track included with this news? Is it gone?? I wanted to go back and watch it :(

It was popularly derided as bland when it was built in 1996 and many bemoaned the destruction of the beloved Osterreichring.

IMO, it's not a great driver's track, not something I'd want to do time trials or hotlapping on, but it is a good track for racing in both games and real life. It always seems to provide one of the better DTM races of the season.

Guys stop jumping on @Samus. Let him share his thoughts about how he feels about the new track. If he feels the track's quality and texture aren't too good or it bothers him, let him speak it out. Nothing wrong with one expressing their opinion.

Continue and grumpyToko is coming back. :mischievous:

Fight between Schumacher and Hakkinen Onboard:

Still not convinced but won't know until I test a fast DTM or GT500 around it... What do you think?

Glad were getting this track. Definitely a pleasant surprise. I dont need it to be in 4k resolution and absolutely life like. The track has good flow and tricky off camber turns with great elevation change. Im sure I wont notice those "2d trees" while Im racing at over 100mph with friends. Some will.

You dont have to be a "PD worshiper" to appreciate his work and the content in the game like new tracks. You dont have to bring up the same continuing arguments and complaints in every new thread either. All of us know the game has issues. It doesnt have a livery editor, or every customization other series offer. Generally speaking that has nothing to do with getting a new track.

It seems like certain individuals have to keep their persona up in every discussion. Its a little stale seeing the same Avatars and usernames do little to show appreciation but are among the first to point out flaws. The pessimism brings the threads down. It makes them unenjoyable to read. You dont have to sing praises to everything pd does, but you also dont need the cynics who have to keep up their 'rep'.
