Oh, shut up! If that guy sucks, I'm in a world of hurt!

I cannot get over how quickly he can aim for their heads. Every time I try to do it, the damn things move on me. Plus, my aiming is bad because I think the controller is bad. If I move carefully and move the stick slowly, it wont move. So, if I add more to it, my aiming moves too quickly. I swear, if somebody made a joystick with roller balls instead of these stupid joysticks, I'd buy one in a second.

Yeah, post whatever you got. I'm sure it'll be better than any other RFOM game save I have posted. 👍

hahaha, I just say he "sucks" because he runs out blindly a lot and his strategy is pretty weak. Like when he uses the rockets to blast a bunch of guy's from the last stage, he could have simply used the Alt fire on the rocket from a distance, and then hit L1 again to release all the smaller seeking rockets and take out a large number of them from teh saftey of cover.

I'll post up that save later today :) It's got the Mechanic skin unlocked for multiplayer, and I'm probably going to start back up on Superhuman to unlock the Special Ops Gas Mask skin for MP mode.

Honestly, the control is designed so well I don't think it's a valid excuse to say you need mouse support. Spend an hour with the sensativity cranked up and you'll adjust quickly. Left thumb = move (forward, back, strafe left and right), right thumb = look / aim. Works wonders :)

The left stick controls are fine; no problem. I have problem with the right stick for aiming. I've always felt the right stick has too much "play" in it. Move it a tad, and your aiming wont move. Add more effort and it moves too far or quickly. Bah!

I did notice in the videos they guy never used his flashlight. Is there a reason other than he forgot to use it? Does it give your position away?

Also, like JR said, he doesn't use his weapons correctly. Like the Bullseye. He tags a baddie, and then pops out from cover to fire at it. Duh. I never once saw him use the alt fire for it either, which is very useful to me (Bullseye Trap & Bullseye Grenade).

I hear the alt fire on the rocket launcher is pretty useful. Launch it straight up into the air and push L1. A laser beams down and you can aim it any baddie you want. It's your very own satellite missile platform.

Yeah, and you can release the sub-munitions as you fly around.

I think the best secondary is the Hailstorm, though. The Auto-Turrent it creates is totally perfect for creating instant covering fire. It's more efficient to use the secondary fire than it is actually shooting the thing.
 
God i cant wait for my tax money to come in, RFOM will be the first game i get. The graphics just look so amazing. And i love how when concrete gets shot at, it actually crumbles and gets destroyed. It just seems like Insomniac really thought out every little detail.
 
Played co-op for the first time tonight. It TOTALLY rocks!!!! Still making my way through the single player on hard. If Superhuman is much harder than hard, I doubt I'll make it through that. I'm not a FPShead, and mouse/keyboard is better than a controller anyway, but I'm finding hard to be REALLY hard.

A lot of the game is absolutely beautiful. There are some lazy textures, though. Then again, some of the textures are amazing. I can't wait to see what Insomniac is able to do with more time and a less firm deadline. Resistance 2 should be gorgeous.
 
Well, i havent gotten the game or a PS3 yet, but i will definitely find things about the game that i dont like im sure. But from what i can tell, its beautiful. I agree with you though, Im sure Resistance 2 will be amazing. But for now, So is Resistance 1.
 
Hey, i have a technical question. Resistence is in 720P but my tv only accepts 480i 480p and 1080i. When I put the game in I only get sound, my screen just goes dark black. Any sugestions on how I can scale the output to 1080i?

You need to tell your PS3 what resolutions your tv accepts.

from the PS3 menu:
settings->display settings->video output settings

I don't know if you'll get 1080i from RFOM, you may only be able to get 480i/p.
 
Just got my PS3 today and i bought RFOM with it. It is amazing. Certainly worth it!!! Im addicted.
 
what did you think so far. I'm the level where you get the Bullseye MK2 or whatever, the one witrh blue rounds.

Edit: I just saw i have three levels to beat. yeah, never burn through games i take my time and get my money's worth whice i have already with the games fun multiplayer mode.

do any of you guys know about a list or something where it shows all of the pips to be earned with online multiplayer, cause i kinda want to try to get them all.

Pips are the dots next to your rank that indicate the "level" of your rank (there are 3 levels of rank between each rank).

If you're talking about the medals and Ribbons, there is a collective thread on http://myresistance.net where you can check it out, and leader boards etc.

I know for a fact you get a medal everytime you get 100 kills with any of the weapons.

So far I've only gotten:
Rifle
Bullseye
LAARK
Grenades (Frag Only)
Auger
Shotgun

Plus I've gotten the Single player medal, 30 Melee Kills, 60 Melee Kills, 100 Ranked games, (soon the 300 Ranked games played). There are other medals, like "Up Your Arsenal" for getting 100 kills with everything, and "Going Commando" for getting 100 flag recaptures and 100 node recaptures.
 
Ha yea not pips thats my fault. But i would like to know what order the ranks go in and how many there are, to kinda see how i stack up i guess. But thanks man, yea i knew about some medals just from looking at other players' stats. Most people get the 100 kills before most other medals. But i was wondering what all of the ribbons are. I know most of them. but theres like two or three that i dont know.

I have never even won a deathmatch game. Its difficult. Usually, i come in about fifth or sixth place with somewhere around 170 points. I have won a conversion game once though.

Just a note on the "stealth kill". You absolutely HAVE to be "stealthy" when you do it. If they see you, you won't get the ribbon. I have quite a few of them, haha, due to someone being AFK in a 1 on 1 match (ranked). Everyone else quit, and apparently he stopped playing, so I just thought I'd have some fun, lol.

The one I'm having the absolute most trouble trying to get it 20 Kills in a row :(

I still dont know how to use mine yet. After all of this time, I have registered it with the PS3 and I have no idea on what to to after that..

Anyone care to help?
 
I got mine to work right away, but when used it with my razor it stopped workin with the ps3 and had to rest every thing. But as long as i dont use it with my phone it works every time.
