Because they look and sound very good. Better than every DTM mod.

rF is meant to be anything a developer want it to be.
Game StockCar is not free but it runs on rFactor engine.
Simraceway do the same and it use free to play scheme.

They both probably pay royalties to ISI though. Does anyone know what ISI's policy is towards modders selling content for rfactor?

I am surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for the recently released EnduRacers FLAT6 series. I find it quite good.

Oh and I can't find link at moment, but a huge 56 car Le Mans 1977 mod is out there.
I just tried that out and it was cool for the fact its a 77 Le Mans mod but alot of cars have issues and wrong cameras, among other things.

The Flat 6 causes my game to crash every time I go to chase cam.. :P For anyone who hasn't seen yet, F1 Classic has a few "classic" cars for the Endurance series mod. Right now the Morgan Aero 8, Maserati MC-12 GT1, Ford GT1, and The LMP675 MG Lola.

Are you running the flat6 in its own folder? Issues occur when they are with oher mods it seems.
The addon cars are the only ones cars with updated physics? Gpfan is working on 2013 cars too.

The Ford GT is amazing. Still need to try the others.

rFactor1:1972 Indy 500(with F5000 cars)

While waiting(and hoping)for the '73 USAC IndyCars Mod I got bored. So I did this. Bent the rear suspension on lap 10, crashed on lap 12.

Aurora F1 1979 race from the NFSS2U track Alpental. This series used cars that were 2nd hand F1 cars. They have around 380hp, I believe. I really like this fantasy track and I was hella excited to see it in rF. I'm using a the Sunoco Mclaren, A.I. is at 100%, and no assists of course other than invincibility. I had a great battle with the A.I. up until the final lap. Also, I just upgraded my laptop with more RAM so I got to turn my graphics up a bit. Subscribe!!!!

After some through looking (and finding out that these add-ons had some help from Chaoszero), I can confirm that it is indeed the exact same Shift 2 rip from WEM. Not complaining, just an observation.

Anyhow, the cars were interesting to drive. The Lola MG was amazing to drive (and easy to outbrake yourself ), the Morgan Aero 8 was great and the Maserati MC12 was somewhat of a handful, but manageable.

Only small complaint is the sound sample on the Lola as it sounds more like the Judd and not the AER powerplant (though I can likely fix that with some directory swapping).

Finally got around to that Group C mod last night and drove the cars. Got some complaints.

1. The sounds. Sure the Sauber Mercedes has its V8 (Though its somewhat choppy in the lower revs), The Nissan kinda sounds decent even with just the BES Sound sample and the Lancia is ok. However, the others were just abit terrible. a V8 sound on the Jaguar and both Porsches? Really? And then the Mazda is just as much a disappointment as it not only isn't even close to sounding like the real thing, its too soft in volume.

2. The models. Kinda seen better. They also are not accurate with the Mazda 787s all sporting the wrong wheels, the Jaguar XJR-9 being the same one from the Daytona 24 despite sporting the Silk cut Liveries from Le Mans, the Porsche 962 also missing its Le Mans bodywork and the Nissan in the mod is not even the R92CP, its the R90CP and even it is inaccurately modeled as its more of a has job between the two cars.

This is how its supposed to look:

I know I sound annoyingly pandantic right now, but I just can't help feel kinda disappointed by this mod.

The AE86 in the TCL mod needs a sound fix. With the stock engine, the sound fades out over 7500rpm, and with the higher power engine, the sound fades over 7000rpm. Only sound after that is the tires and the gearbox/diff.

Use the AE86 club mod for the sounds.

Didn't fix the problem. There was only one grouping of Levin sounds, so I'm not sure what to do now as I've already replaced them all. Must be a file that controls how the sound works instead of the sound files themselves.
