Hey guys! I'm just getting back into rFactor after being absent for almost a year. Now I currently borrow my friend's controller and seems like everytime I push the analog the steering turns full lock and made the car absolutely undriveable!

Are there any specific settings that I can do to make the car driveable? It seems to be affecting all the cars on all circuits.

I believe there should be a setting for steering sensitivity (can't remember what its called though).

Yeah I did try setting the deadzone and all but it doesn't make any difference. The steering still turns full and undriveable :(

I did, and it made no difference... Guess I have to stick with the keyboard then.

Hmm, I had what sounds like a similar problem a couple of months ago. Basically, my controller (A Logitech dual action) has a button makes the analogue sticks function digitally, so you either got full lock or no lock, maybe thats the issue?

I used a cheap controller which looks like PS2's Dual Shock 2 controller. It doesn't have any button for the analog to function in a specific way. But yes, everytime I push the analog, the steering turns full lock.

I've Googled the problem and some recommend me to use an XBOX 360 controller with an additional driver. That seems to work well as some say..

If you have either an Xbox 360 controller or a PS3 controller, Download remote joy,

So here's the lap time I had last week when I first tried out COTA on rFactor with the GTC car:

2'27.712

Here's the pole time from the ALMS race:

Keating/Faulkner - 2'27.816

Can't help but feel smug about now :mischievous:

Edit: Woo! Did it again

Graf/Luhr - 2'07.851

Me - 2'04.335

That was abit of a surprise, I felt I had enough for a 2'06 at best.

Edit 2: Ah yeah

PC:

Schultis/Van Der Zande - 2'17.865

Jackson - 2'15.414

I feel my Hot Lap series coming back on :D

I did a 2:11.730 around Cota in the GTC car last night :P. Yes, I had my wheaties for breakfast. I still have the issue with the game crashing whenever I try to change the view in the GTC car.. Apparently the only solution is to run the GTC mod separately or re-install the Endurance mod all over again..

I know it sounds crazy.. but I bring proof. Your time wasn't in the wet was it?

Nope, mine was in the Dry. I suspect we may not be using the same track mod as that looks abit different from the one I have.

I'm using one from an F1 League, are they really that much different? :P

It appears so. Textures look different, lighting seems different. Can you link to the site you got yours from?

Yeah, that's completely different from the one I have.

Currently publishing my video with both my GTC and PC Hot Laps.

Yeah, the one you have is handbuilt and not very accurate.

At the time, it was the only one I was able to find. Can't be too bad if I managed to get times very much on pace with the real laps, though that might be more of my driving.

They have weather conditions other than just Sunny and Overcast.

Ok. And what is it you don't like about them? Only one I've driven to my knowledge is Sonoma in the Indycar mod.

Edit: Video is finally up

Would anyone be willing to do a weekly lap challenge type event? Each week a different car and track combo, whoever sets fastest lap chooses next weeks car and track combo? We'd have basic rules like how much traction help is allowed, etc and the rest would come down to a gentlemens agreement. I think it would be fun. If enough interest is shown I'll pick the first combo.
