Where can I find this? Been looking for a more recent and much more decent Daytona as the one I currently have is abit inaccurate.

Links gone since. Guess over weekend i'll have to put my mediafire account to good use ;) Also supports around 48 AI's. Been trying to edit grid spots to accommodate 50-60 but to no avail :grumpy:

I've been doing some minor tweaks to the CSGT70 mod. Makes singleplayer somewhat better. Also did my first 'engine swap' on a Porsche 906.

Posting this here, because rFactor is my main testing platform, want to release it on every platform possible, including Assetto Corsa. I'm back in the track modding business and want to exceed the quality of Petersberg.

This is at least a year off, but I want to tease a bit...

What are you working in?

I was wondering, but is this game worth buying? I'm considering the physical copy so 20 bucks isn't that bad.

I'd say its very much worth buying, still a lot of support from the modding community and the physics are pretty good.

Funny my old G27 came with an rfactor demo disc but after going through the files i noticed it had the full game so all i did was find a new .exe and delete the logitech profile and bam lol. I am having a blast with the Enduracers mod with the expansions done by gpfan atm, i just wish the AI was better at Oran Park because that is one of the highest quality rfactor tracks.

I'd like to get the F1-S-R 1992 2.0 mod, but I can't find it anywhere except mega.co.nz and I don't want to download from that site.

Server is back up for now, although they posted that they are still looking for a permanent solution.

I also managed to find an alternate download location for the 1992 mod on mediafire. It was posted in a comment on the mod page.

Hello everyone, I have been a Consoule Racer (Forza) for some time now. I own a Fanatec wheel/pedal setup and with the recent decision by MS not to support my wheel I have been looking at other ways to get my racing fix. I have been looking at Iracing but I have heard alot of good things about Rfactor/RFactor 2 and had some questions since Iracing realy hasnt hooked me into buying into there product.

1= I have NO experience in PC gaming..lingo/parts/methods of downloading is very strange to me. I do understand the concept of Steam and using there Severs. But I see in this thread there is ALOT of talk of "MODING" which I know nothing about. Would it be to much for a novice like myself to try to tackle the setting up and tweeking a PC to run this game on a single screen setup??

2=Im unsure of the price of the game??...Physical copy cost $XX..but lifetime costs $XX...What is the best way to try this game out.

3=Along with the cost question. I see that you might have to buy a seat to race in a Leaage??? What is this about??
I work shift work and might not be able to race at a certian time every week. Will this cause me problems??

4=Also below is what Im runing right now on my HTPC..What are the improvemts do I have to make to start out..I do know I have an HD video card but dont know what kind

That should be plenty good to run rFactor. My computer has a lower index than what yours is showing and I can run rFactor in DirectX 9 on High settings with 20-30 cars on track above 30 frames per second.

There is a demo here: http://rfactor.net/web/rf1/buyonline2/
It comes with 2 tracks and 2 cars. You can purchase rFactor from the demo as well as it's a try/buy setup. It's less than $30 to buy the game, and mods are free.

There's a massive modding community, even though rFactor is 8 years old now the community is slowing down and is moving/has moved on to other games. Lots of mods come with self-installers, while others you have to put into the proper folders, but they come with Readme files that tell you exactly where you need to put the folders at in the rFactor folder.

I'm not familiar with leagues in rFactor as I play offline only.

Used google translate on the info page and got this. Not 100% accurate, but it's enough to see what it's about.

My enjoyment of Super Touring mod is really spoilt by how the AI spin very easy on there own, getting ridiculous FWD drifts on. I've tried analysing HDV files, suspension, tyres and played with AI spring rates and torque distribution but to no avail. Can anyone offer an insight?

It's either the AI stuff in the HDV files or the AI stuff in [Game Options] in the .plr file found in the folder inside Userdata that matches the name of your player profile.

Example being GTPorsche.plr

Also, just realized http://rfactor.no-ip.info:100/RFACTOR1/ is down. Not sure how long it's been down but it was a great source for rfactor mods. Now I don't know where to find most of the stuff linked from F1classic.
