Volt and I had a great wee race at Sebring with some AI drivers 👍 Four P2s (including the two of us), three GT1s and three GT2s. Volt missed the start a bit which caused me to get bogged down in the GTs but I was quickly back on the back of the other P2s.
Had a fun battle with Volt for the first few laps, then we both spun (independently of each other!) and he had to pit for repairs. He spent the rest of the race running back up through the field while I spent the rest of my race trying to catch second place - which I would have managed had I not spun with two laps to go :\

I would join you guys, but I'm too nervous about the fact that my remote (yes, I use a pad and not a wheel, too cheap for one right now) crabs to the right annoyingly and the fact that I've got no bit of sensitivity to properly put down the power.
I also have no idea how the servers work having never raced anything PC based online.

Drop it in <rfactor install directory>\replayfridge and open "sharky vs voltaic sebring" in the Fridge. I'm the #35 orange/white/black Courage and Volt is the green and black ARX. Second half of the race isn't particularly interesting, it's just me spinning twice and lapping the GT2s.

Yep, I watched the replay and I definitely held you back. What you don't know is that I actually almost missed the race cuz I was daydreaming lol.
You had an awesome race, if not for the last spin off you would have finished 2nd. Mind you, the guy in second place was the one that sent me off the first time by tapping me on the side, and he stayed aggressive. I liked the dude.
Our little battle was fun, I suspect we would have been at it had I not been so aggressive, I did everything I knew not to do hehe.
Anyway, I'll know better next time, you like to play slow in practice/qualifying, then let it rip during the race...awesome racing Sharky!
Having the AI definitely added to the fun, I look forward to see Sharky and more of you next time. Good fun!

I was wondering why you were taking your time to join the grid
I wouldn't say that I necessarily play it slow in practice, more that in a race I find I can keep a rhythm better, which usually manifests itself in quicker laptimes; my best lap in the race was a 1'52.111, while my practice best was in the 53s - I wouldn't be able to pick up a full second in "time-trial mode" (ie practice/qualy) even if I tried. Interestingly, that time came on the final lap of the race and my tyres were well past their prime by then!Voltaic
I must say, though, that the AI made things a lot more interesting and fun, and even at 300ms+ ping the AI are fine as long as you're not trying to go wheel to wheel with them the entire time. I'd have no qualms with some AI the next time we race

It has full instructions and download links. It shows how to optimise both realfeel and LeoFFB over the default settings and definitely worth a read for anyone using these plugins. This tutorial reinstated my faith in rFactor, as I'd given up on realfeel and the sim a long time ago until I found it.

hah I do the samething Volt. I launch all my mods through that launcher. Bloody handy. Also noticed only CDTP allows detailed FFB tweaking since its tied into real feel

Ok, I have no clue on what is DirectX 9? I imagine that's the problem...

Yeah microsoft makes the DirectX end user runtime that you can hopefully install. If you installed any current games they should've already installed it tho. Like iRacing for instance. You should be able to go to yer control panel to verify if its installed
