Hi guys, not quite sure if I should ask this on this post and forum but I am quite frustrated by the hardware settings. I am using a laptop and G25 which supposedly work well to together with rFactor. However I later spent a lot of time and tried to get the steering wheel work right just like GT5, and it didn't turn out right.

I changed the steering wheel to 900 degrees as I'm a big fan of sport cars(Oversteer Mod & AE86 Club particularly), and each time Im over a bump or some slopes where one of the wheel would spin or likewise, the car just steers itself and totally I would just lose control of the car with no chance of correcting even I was not accelerating. The steering wheel just took the job itself. And it acts awkward as well, with the extra steering lock angle setting in the tuning menu of the car while on the track, it just nowhere as good as in GT5. I seriously like rFactor with that much of modification available but I just can't get over this problem, so I hope someone here would help me out please ?

my laptop runs rFactor at around 40~60FPS or above most of the time. Is it just the matter of should not be playing it on a laptop or am I just can't get used to rFactor?

Do you have any driving aids turned on?

"Following Game Stock Car, their successful maiden commercial title, Brazil-based Reiza Studios have announced to be working on a racing game that centers around the career of Ayrton Senna".

Not sure what this has to do with rFactor as Reiza Studios are making stand-alone games now.

I'm wondering if any rFactor players here are planning on taking part in the Bullrun 1000 simrace coming up next month. Here are some of the details...

Date: November 12
Time: 12:30 PM Race US Eastern Standard Time, I'm guessing...
Track: It'll be the latest version of the Bullrun Raceway track mod from what I'm gathering
Mod: NAGT v1.5.2
Hosted by: The Pits (Link to The Pits Bullrun 1000 forum thread)

There's going to be a grid of 30 cars with 2 driver teams starting the race and the deadline for submitting entries is November 4th. I'm not sure if there is a third driver allowed to be on the team, so it doesn't hurt to ask them. :)

Couple of updates from what I posted earlier about the Bullrun 1000.

  1. There is now a website up for the race. Link
  2. Participants will be racing with the new version of the NAGT mod that is exclusive to them and will be released to the general public after the event has taken place.
And for those who may be new to this thread, here is a highlight video of the 2009 race(not done by me, OBTW) so you can get a little idea of what may be happening a week from this Saturday. ;)

Haven't done any research on it yet. Jav, just so you know, I'll do either that (if it agrees with my schedule) or your series. :sly:

F1-S-R has released their Formula One 1994 mod for rFactor

Adding another quality historic F1 season to the simulation. The mod lets you relive one of the most remarkable seasons in Formula One history, a year that provided both thrilling racing and heartbreaking drama – From Interlagos all the way to Adelaide. The tragic events of 1994 are also taken into account as the mod is dedicated to Ayrton Senna & Roland Ratzenberger who both tragically lost their life at the Imola round of the 1994 season. The mod comes as so-called League Edition with equal physics for all cars that ensure close online racing competition.

Wow! Just took the Lambo arround Road America on the CMS server for a few laps, Oh My God!!! Absolute EARGASM!!!! Wow!!! I love it!!! What a car!!! I'm in love!!!! Wow!

I believe amazon has the game for 20

I just got this, and the wheel feedback and settings feel horrible compared to gt5 or iracing. I know it's probably because I have it set wrong, anyone care to help?

did all that and its still pretty bad. no sense of weight to the car, can't feel the shift in weight/balance, although the feedback over curbs is good. how can I adjust steering rotation in the settings?
