did all that and its still pretty bad. no sense of weight to the car, can't feel the shift in weight/balance, although the feedback over curbs is good. how can I adjust steering rotation in the settings?

Oh yeah, the rotation it's key. I use 270 degrees on mine for rFactor, anything else feels like poop! For your wheel you'll need to adjust it directly in the wheel's profiler menu.
Hope it works for you!

Hey Guys I am a newbie when it comes to PC Sims so I figured Rfactor is a good way to Start Considering I don't need a super Expensive Rig so Pardon my ignorance .

Some Questions I wanted to ask is To race Online what is a good Internet Connection ,And Are Mods free ?and lastly Is there some sort of Online Time Trail /A.I Race because My Internet Connection is Terrible .

Thanks in advance

Hey sems, happy new year yo you and everyone.

The only timed races I know of are hill climb (downhill) races mods. All other races in rF are against the AI, with a proper realistic race weekend, practices, qualifying, warm up, warm up lap and race with full flag rules and safety car. These are done offline or online. In fact, you can have human and AI race each other online..

For any online gaming a good connection is very important to avoid lag and stay competitive. All mods, except games built around rFactor, such as Rieza Studios, are free thanks to all the great and enthusiastic modders out there, some of which develop and/or port the mods back and forth from rFactor, GTL, GTR2 and Race 07. These last 3 SimBin titles use rFactor as their engine. Between all of them there is a huge amount of content to chose from.

I hope this gives you an idea.

If something gets going soon, I may show up for a little while tonight, traveling early tomorrow. Otherwise, if firmed up I will be up for racing next weekend Friday or Saturday.

I've downloaded and installed enduracers, but still can't get the wheel settings right, it feels so wrong.

Can anyone share some realfeel/ rfactor settings?

Jav

That's what I'm running at the moment with stock settings. Are you sure that's the one you are using? It's Leo FFB combined with ReelFeel. It still feels a bit artificial but it does a pretty good job. Keep in mind this is a pretty old game and every mod it's different. Other than that and setting your wheel to 270 degrees I can't think of anything else...

Hmm I have no idea why anyone would drive Rfactor with 270 degree steering, go 900 its much better with Rfactor, actually its the best game for it.
Goto mydocuments and look for the rfactor folder, go into your game name then controls and open the controls.ini with notepad and look for steering degrees and set to 900 for the animation ingame.

Also for me this is the best car sim you can experiance, with this mod Historix 1.9

It comes with the realfeel plugin and I have yet to find anything more realistic than this game + mod, you need Gt legends disc to play it tho

*Edit forgot to mention ingame set your steering lock to 30 when you are using 900 degree rotation and your set, Historix mod cars are already set like that from what i have driven

yes i know about HistorX, ive downloaded it and already had few races. Very cool mod, very rrealistic, but i found it pretty hard to drive. And i use only Logitech Driving Force Gt.

What is ISI o.O /Noob Question

PD is to Gran Turismo as ISI is to rFactor.

Question about the mods. Are these standalone mods? As in: Are the mods used when playing online or can you choose which mod to play when firing up the game?

I've been looking for a long time for a decent endurance series sim racer, and the endurance series mod for rFactor looks impressive.
