Tempting.. Probably not.. but VERY tempting

Wait until you see the track.

The video could be better too. You go into a small town lots of high speed up hill corners. This opens up into a park. High speed diving ess which brings you into a long flat out rural section. Farms on your left, woods on your right. There's a small kink, that requires a slight rub of the brakes, drop one gear. Very easy to blow the engine there. And if you mess up, you'll either find yourself in a tree, or a quarter mile out in a field. Then a double apex left hander. Down to second gear. Careful under acceleration, there's a lamp post right where you'd normally track out to. Next you enter the woods with a few esses. Because of the camber track, you can take them flat out. You exit on the other side of the woods. Farmland on your right now. Another VERY tricky left hand kink. It's blind and the entrance is uphill. But the exit is downhill. Brake, then get on the gas quick to get the weight of the car in the rear, otherwise, you'll find yourself surrounded by... cows. Big downhill straight, then quickly uphill. Uphill so you can brake late for the last turn, a long sweeping left hand turn. Around 2:45 lap time.

Built a new pc primarily for AC, but will be using it to play rFactor untill AC is released. Am looking into using a 21:9 display. ( Dell U2913WM). Does anyone have any experience with this aspect ratio display? yea or nay? Thanks.

Sounds like a nice build. No experience with that aspect ratio, sorry.

What is AC?

PS; This is my setup with Eyefinity, 3-23" Acer monitors I got on sale at Newegg...love it. If I had the money I would probably go with 3 21x9s heh.

I've got an idea but am unsure if there are any legal headaches to deal with:

Do any of you recall the Sound sample of the Jaguar XC70 from Top Gear? I'm considering making that a sound sample for use by anyone (begining with testing via a Custom skin on the Lola Coupe in the enduracers mod). Would that be fine or would I be screwed for doing that? I ask because I'm still awaiting approval from a game developer to do the same with their Pagani Zonda R Sample.

You are a bit too paranoid. Top Gear don't give a damn about us, nor Jaguar seriously.
99,99% of car sounds in pc sim racing come from audio samples.

The only a*****e manifacture is Porsche, and they don't ask every mod or sound to be removed. They had an issue with a Porsche Cup because they had a "team" working on it. Well they could just pay Enduracers the 3d, 2d development and sell as their own official Porsche Cup, because I'm sure it's much better than what they have done so far.

I'm not paranoid, I'm just trying to watch what I do (like I do with everything else) so I'd appreciate if I wasn't labeled as such. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have any sort of legal trouble with Jaguar. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm awaiting approval to use a game developer's sound recording of the Zonda R and based on that (not on the whole issue with Porsche), thats why I asked.

If you really really really want to be sure go ask Top Gear and Jaguar lawers, you'll probably waste a lot of time and they'll deny every sort of use LOL.

The most these lawyers can do if one day you'll gain notoriety in sim racing modding comunity is asking you to remove download links.
Enduracers didn't go to jail nor payed any compensation to Porsche.

Another story is using material of other modding groups or developers, there is a lot of emo rage crying going on with this.
- some modders deny the usage and they tell you straight in their readme
- some others want to be asked for permission for everything and they never answer, or when they do they answer no LOL
- some state "if you are going to use this somewhere you are allowed but please send me a mail"
- some says do whatever you want just do not post offensive bullcrap on my stuff.

- some people ask for permission for everything, and they are ready to wait forever, even if the original modder is retire from modding...
- some others get tired of this permission thing, take the stuff they need, do their mod and release on f1classic giving credits to original authors..

This is how things goes. In the end, do whatever you think is right for you.

Yes, I was driving this slow in purpose. ;)
New road textures and some trackside details.
Still trying to figure out, how to make the trees look good, while they can receive light.
