Thanks.
The conifers look especially horrid though, because they're not fine enough. Looks worse in direct feed by the way, the low video quality makes it seem better. There's a huge difference in quality when I tell BTB they shouldn't reflect light. Unfortunately, night driving would be a pain in the BEEP without that.

FPS aren't an issue, because it has nothing to do with more objects or anything. The game renders the same amount of stuff either way.

How many Enduracers extra's are there? I downloaded a service pack today that gave me the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, BMW M3 and Audi R18.

Just a quick question for you guys. How do I go about purchasing this game? Can I only get it off of the official site or is it on something like steam?

I have the one with the M3, Vantage and Lola, no R18. Link?

Same here.

Speaking of which, rFactors works for me now :dopey: I took everything off and put it back on and when I went to watch a replay, it loaded up instead of just exiting the game. Now I can get to testing that Jaguar Sample I want to use.

I found this trailer for the World Endurance Mod, a mod with based on endurance racing (go figure) with around 70 cars from the 80's to the 10's. It's been in development for nearly four years and it's scheduled to be released within the next two weeks. It looks really promising, hopefully looks won't be deceiving this time! It's also compatible with the RFE plugin released a while back.

Saw WEM on F1 Classic a while back. Looks like it's going to be good.

Wonder if it'll take EnduRacers spot as the top sports car mod...

Pretty sure they said some time ago they were through, something about them not liking the current LMPs and how the 2008 was the best year and whatever (can't remember what exactly was said). So yeah, I don't expect anything from enduracers for sportscar racing anytime soon (unless they suddenly start doing solely GT cars).

I think they said they wanted to finish the 2005-2008 era until they move on to the modern cars. That and they aren't doing anything more for rF1.

I just hope with this mod they didn't just choose one or two cars from each era...

While sorting out a new SFX file for the Jaguar Sample, I decided to fixed the sounds in the Lola Mod. So far I've managed to make a SFX for the Lola Judd (which should fix Roughly most of the Lolas in the pack) and am now doing the Aston Martin one.

My Hard Disk has enough room for booth! :)
Smart car! How do you paint templates and export? Just use photoshop?
Scroll down until you see templates. They are separate for each car.

Good news, when you release something let us know.
A good sounding car is ALWAYS welcome.

Update 1: I have succeeded with the Judd engine (GV5) for the P1 cars. At first I ran into a problem with the sound volume, but I've gotten that sorted. Now going to start on the Judd XV engine for the P2 cars.

Update 2: P2 Judd engines now complete. Now its time for the Aston Martin.

Hell... yes. That's my reaction to seeing the World Endurance Mod (Post #3371). I needed only see a few cars from the past I loved. That even include my all-time favorite race car- the Ferrari 333SP. Even seeing the Oreca Dodge Viper GTS-R, Toyota GT-One, BMW V12 LMR, and the Audi R18 TDI (or whatever it's called) is almost all I need to be convinced to download this mod. Most of the 90s-style cars just reminds me of the game that rFactor basically succeeded- Sports Car GT (remember that classic?). I know it would probably never happen, but it would be very interesting to see an rFactor-type revival of Sports Car GT's cars. Who wouldn't want to race that game's unique cars like the Vector M12 machine and the Mosler Raptor?

But I'm certainly awed by the World Endurance Mod and all the cars in it. At least... from the video.

Looks like I'm just gonna take a break from the Aston Martin engine sound. Its been really bugging me as to how I manage to get the other two to sound just right while this one just will not work. I tryed the engine sound from the Stand alone Aston Martin DBR1-2 mod and for whatever reason despite having all the settings perfectly mirrored, its somehow higher pitched.

Meanwhile, I'll get back to working on the Jaguar and start getting the folder going.

@JohnBM01
Yeah, race cars from the 90's are uber cool Ferrari 333SP, McLaren F1-GTR, Toyota GT-One, the Viper etc.. these cars have timeless desgin and charm. Forza Motorsport actually match a lot of 90's with modern stuff, so being allowed to do the same in rFactor is uber duper cool.

About the GT class "revival" from mid 90's there's a WIP at F1classic. It's the BPR conversion (an important mod for GTR2). If you want a full working mod I suggest you to buy a GTR2 copy and install BPR + Super GT, you won't regret it.
If you wanna see how the rFactor conversion is going check this thread

@RACECAR
When you modify the sound you modify wav files and .sfx file?
There's another value placed on the engine file (.ini) that could effect sound pitch:
EngineSound=(0.0, 0.800, -1.0)
I don't know how these values works, try to ask somewhere.

I don't modify the wav files, just the SFX File (so that the car has the folder it'll get its sounds from)

Hmmm, I'll try that and see if that works.
