Leafing around.. the WEM 2.0 mod links posted a few pages back are of the unfinished version, hence the errors and missing textures.

Chaoszero has said on F1Classic no-one else can upload links and when he can upload them he will, though a new job has put it back. So it's not totally dead.

The WEM mod apparently uses GPFan BES 2012/GT3 cars, without his permission. Also the physics too, noises etc, which I did think we're very similar. So we may not see the "final" version. Plus the current one has a lot of work needed. The frame rate is shocking even on low graphic settings, lots of mistakes in the car's skins, AI seem to struggle with the cars, and it won't start the game up on the WEM mod so you have to switch mods before quitting. Considering it has been three plus years they have been working on it, or coping work, I would say it is rather poor considering they believe to be an expert in it. I think I'll stick to my BES 2012 mod.

It does? I don't see any of the BES cars in the mod. Maybe I'm seeing the folder they are in.

GT3 cars are not in WEM? WEM is GTE (old GT2 spec).

Ferrari's, Aston's, Corvette. I've not dug into it, but GPFan had a massive go at one of the makers saying that the physics in WEM are the same as his and the cars too. Its on F1classic. To be fair the physics felt the same on the WEM comparing to the BES so I wouldn't be surprised if they had just used GPFan's work. Plus they have done this before apparently, they say they are coverting/making but they need up using other peoples work and don't ask/say it is someone else's.

Furi: The GT3 mod (by GPFan) has same cars as the GT1/2, like GPFan just updated the mod from GT3 to GT1 and BES - all same cars, but updating them along the way. WEM, again apparently, just copied the cars they needed/wanted.

Whole thing is very fishy if I'm honest.

The Ferraris look more like they came from the Ferrari DLC mod then the BES mod (I have both mods so I'm able to compare them side-to-side)

Aston Martin and Corvette, probably came from a FIA GT 2010 Mod (which is probably another one of those mods ripped from Shift 2).

A couple of things I must say about Gpfan:
1- He is a very good modder/converter
2- He need to realize he does NOT hold any copyright on that stuff, the 3d models were made by someone else, like SimBin, Turn10 or SMS.
3- I can't agree with him when he complain on forum calling people out because they stole "his" work.

Yeah I think they (chaos and gpfan) just converted the same models, but chaos did it before gpfan, yet gpfan made them rather childish comments about how chaos was ripping off his work....

I'm not going to judge them, it's a mod so they can do what they like. Is a bit rude if it is true. They do feel similar in driving, I jumped into the WEM mod and it did feel the same. Either way I'll continue playing BES as I prefer it, feels a lot better (my opinion, not a fact), just hope they continue to make mods for people like us and show each other a bit of respect.

Anybody get their hands on the IZOD indycar DW12 beta yet? It seems to only have oval tires and aero available. But, its still cool.

Its out may 1st fully with a trackpack I believe.

Not sure where else to post this, but got rFactor recently and downloaded the Initial D Ultimate Stage mod as i'm a big Initial D fan :sly: and tryed to recreate the first race between Takumi and Keisuke. If you like Initial D you may enjoy it.

*Disclaimer my driving isnt very good*

Looking for some help with the Real Feel FFB Plugin 0.92 (at least I think thats the issue here) I'm new to rFactor and downloaded this plugin hoping for a better experience but it's made some of my cars completely undrivable, my G25 wheel auto spins round to full lock left and right by it's self and I have zero control. :nervous::indiff:
But other cars are fine and drive normal. I'm not sure whats going on or what I need to do to fix this.

Anyone have a clue what I havn't done that I should have, or how to fix this?

I've never understood it, so I deleted it was too confusing. I couldn't feel any difference if I'm honest. I drive a car with electric steering and feels the same as rFactor steering, so I'm used to it.

I just have the wheel at -100% medium as I feel that's got good enough feedback for me, I can feel the wheel go light when the rear goes or locking brakes, I think it's pretty good without plugin, but I know others that like it which is fair enough if you can understand and get it setup right.👍

Yeah i've deleted it for now, it was crazy I would slightly turn right or left coming out of the pits and my wheel would just auto spin to full lock

So im using what Andy said now "wheel at -100% medium"

The only thing I miss from it on the cars it worked with is now there seems to be no (or very minimal) wheel vibration when going over bumps, hopefully thats something I can get back as that felt really nice on the cars it was working with.

Yeah what he said ^

Also for mods sometimes you have to change the ffb from 100% to -100% if it is "Jerky"

Wow. There are plenty of tutorials for setting up Realfeel and Leoffb. Just a google search away. Well worth setting up imo.

Hmm :indiff: I guess i'll give it another try tomorrow or when I have more time. I just tryed to follow this tutorial / settings before I deleted it http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/614-rFactor-Better-FFB-Tutorial and when at step 6

6} Testing Once in-game you will not have to edit anything. Load a car such as HistorX or the Lotus23's or any mod that works with realfeel. I RECOMMEND USING A REAR WHEEL DRIVE CAR FOR A FIRST TEST!! When you go on track you should hear a voice say "realfeel is enabled" This means that realfeel is installed correctly. While sitting still you should find it difficult to turn the wheels and the steering wheel should stay where you turn it. This means that the Leo's is installed correctly.

** If you have severe oscillation when not moving simply lower the "Stiffness of Stationary wheels" value in the LeoFFB.ini

I could not get rid of the sever oscillation, I even tryed setting the "Stiffness of Stationary wheels" value to 0.0 in the LeoFFB.ini (default vaule was 3.5) but as soon I got on track my wheel still violently shaked, and I do mean violently  . So at that point I gave up and deleted it. :(

I'm currently now using this http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=22840 "FEELS REAL G25 FFB for rFactor" and it feels pretty good to me, but I think I need to change some things in the controller.ini to get more road vibration from bumps sent to the wheel.

That tutorial is quite good. But I lack time, so if I get the chance I will try but the amount of effort to go through to get it working is huge. I might try tomorrow, then test again but from what I remember it felt very similar - maybe setup wrong.

Tried the GTA map and while it indeed was not all that detailed, it was very fun to go around (drove in a Ferrari F430 Scuderia) and I only have been through one section. Can't wait to try the others.

Also tried the 2011 GP2 Mod and good grief, I'm terrible with it. No matter how gentle with the throttle I was, it always wanted to spin on me.

Found some new tracks as well, here's my thoughts on them:

Long Beach: I finally found it but dammit, I think I regret ever getting it. The Frame rate change on that track is hideously annoying, it would be ok in some corners, downright slow and unbearable in others (especially the final corner). Sad thing is, it looks like IDT (the same people that made that very inaccurate Sebring Mod) is the only people that even did Long Beach and with rFactor 2 being Out, no one is gonna do a better one :indiff:

NJMP (Thunderbolt Raceway): Finally found it. Very fun track, though it was tricky as first to figure out all the corners. Thought all my years of watching Grand-Am there would help but unfortunately, it didn't do squat for me

Montreal 2011: Finally a more up to date Circuit Gilles-Villenueve. Didn't have much fun in the 2011 GP2 mod, but I'll find it much better with the Porsche Supercup Mod..Once I find it that is.

VIR: Yet another track that I thought after watching many races at it that I would be automatically good at, only to be immediately wrong. Drove around in the GT2 Corvette and once I got the hang of it, it was easier. I can't help but feel though that its abit narrower then I remember seeing on TV.

Silverstone 2011: Well technically its an add-on to "Northhampshire" known as "BGP 2011", but that was about the only one I found out of the only two which didn't require some password or other BS. Anyhow, did a lap around their and while I'm still not the biggest fan in real life, its pretty decent. Frame rate is nice and steady.

Zolder: Favorite Track from Shift 2, still quite fun (though impossible to drive in the Ford GT GT1). There's one corner that I can't quite ever get through without locking up the brakes. Other then that, I just love it.

Donington Park: Found it last week and had a blast going around it, favorite track of mine from that PS2 game "Le Mans 24 Hour".

Next tracks I plan on Driving/Downloading:

Rockingham
Portland
Hockengheimring 2012
Monza 2011 (Preferably with multiple configurations using both Chicane variations and the track without the chicane)
Brno
Dubai Autodrome (Another favorite Track from Shift 2, though Ironically I didn't find it much fun in GTR2 for some reason)
Valencia (Circuit Ricardo Tormo to be exact, Not that crappy street course F1 currently uses)
Lime Rock Park

Also, does anyone know where I can find a decent, up-to-date WTCC and BTCC mod.

Been trying for the past 30 minutes and the woman's voice doesn't happen so the plugin doesn't work. Such a pain. I'll keep trying but this is why I didn't like it before as it is over complicated. :grumpy:

@strawman andy: Realfeel .9.3.6?

This download works for me. http://www.mediafire.com/?4f1r9k5oiyqbdxo
From this thread http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=242549
Deleted all the plugins linked to RealFeel and Leo and used the new link, still not working. No voice, and steering is going mad when parked. Plus will pull left or right when driving. Anyone know a fix? I got everything in the right place, I've checked three times now and I can't see where I have gone wrong.

I am using BES 2012 but also tired F1 BMW 2008 and still no luck.

Do you have a link for the NJMP Thunderbolt?

From the rfactor site here.

I would post one where you didn't need to be a member, but the one I actually found appears to have the file removed.
