Hey what happened to the CSTs? I thought you had ordered some of those pedals. Did you not like them or is there still a long waiting list?

Ya the long wait has soured me a tad. I want a set of GT style and 2 used sets went up for sale on the iRacing forum recently. The first set I missed by a couple of hours and the next set I missed by 15 minutes. Doh!

Congratulations to you, Darren. It's like the cherry on top of the cake I suppose (or how was that saying again?). Of course a rig is never finished, so I wonder what future improvements you come up with. ;)

Thanks logi, I have plans for a dash, I have additional gauges to use once symprojects or someone comes up with a rev burner that will support multi gauges.

Maybe mister Speare would like to make some gauge boxes as well or something like that. Then maybe you can test/review them for him. ;)

I want to make a dash that fits around my wheel then flush mount the gauges. I'm going to consult with the_greeze for some ideas. I have a well equipped woodshop so I should be able to come up with a design made from MDF. The only trick will be finding the time, perhaps next fall.

Excellent rig Left. I enjoyed the ISR segment about it.

Thank you Z

Congrats Darren!

Must feel really good to get that kind acknowledgement for all your hard work.

BTW, still love the tach...

Thank you Bill

Very nice rig. When I saw this on ISR I was wondering what talented person put all this work into such a project. The triple 55" TVs are great. How much difference is their between Iracing and GT5? Would like to go to a computer next year. Have PS3 now.

Great job!

Just my 2cents here. My PS3 is now a Bluray player only. After joining iRacing and messing around with pCARS there is no going back.

Thanks FrozenGhost, it took me a long time to get it where it is now, iRacing takes a big commitment but is well worth it. I thought I made a big mistake when I purchased my 3 month promo deal. I did not like the MX-5 at all. I went for the Road racing over the Oval racing.

I had my right arm amputated below the elbow and racing is challenging for me. I went on and purchased a bunch of cars like the Riley Prototype and extra tracks. I had buyers remorse for a month or so, until I said to myself that I would give this iRacing my all. Today I am so glad I stuck with it. It is awesome, I get a very good feeling when I finish well in a race.

To answer your question, GT5 is a lot of fun but you can not compare it to iRacing, which is a racing service. I would suggest you try one of the racing promo's for a 3 month deal. Be prepared to practice at least 4 nights or days of the week. Like I said earlier, iRacing takes a big commitment, it is expensive to purchase all of the content. I renew my membership each Black Friday which is half price, down to $49 per year.

Same in my household, we have 4 PS3's about the house. They are all used as blu ray players now.

Nice rig and congratulation with the rig of the week at Inside Sim Racing.

Sad to see you amputated your right arm. I amputated my left leg. Nice to see other with a amputee sim race ;)

Hey Erik,

Sorry it took so long to reply, haven't been here in a while. Sorry about your leg, it's good to see you have carried on with Sim Racing and adapting to life's little challenges.

Nice rig left888 . Congrats
