I'd like to join if possible

Of course man, more than welcomed.

Just let me know if you're clear and the rules and procedures then go ahead and sign up using the supplied form (big red "Sign up" button in first post) and we'll go from there.

I'm glad you're joining, seen you around in this sub before 👍

Decided that heavy damage will be used through out the run of the series, both for qualifying and the race.. Limited damage setting will only be allowed in practice. If a qualifying run was done without heavy damage on the lap will be DQ'ed.

Also, think I'm gonna hand out awesome prizes like this for winning with limited damage. Noi! :). Thanks for asking.

Nice choice. I'm looking forward to hearing the results of the second pre-season race. The average skill level looks quite high so it will be interesting to see how the group deals with heavy damage. Good luck to everyone!

Wardez, I don't recall reading any e/plantation of the following race:

Race #4 SPECIAL RALLY EVENT: Toscana custom track made by Wardez - Spada

Is this simply a custom track that you have created which we will run in the usual fashion?

I was wondering if there will be a second division, considering the amount of entries? With taking a large amount of entries and there only being a limited amount of spots on the grid I can't believe that there wouldn't be some creativity in scheduling and host volunteering.

In my world you can race into the division above the one that you qualify into by performing well and beating everyone that you raced in your quilified division. Since this is a Pre Season enviroment currently maybe there could be something there for the series.

I wouldn't like to see your series become some exclusive Alien fest because it's also a promoters job to be creative and at the same time not create obsticles to the fun of racing while creating an enviroment for excelence.

Well we've been running these things for a while now and the formula works pretty well. Yes there will only be 14 spots up for grabs and people will be eliminated but that doesn't make it an alien fest at all. You just have to try that much harder every week.

The amount of people signed up also doesn't mean every one's going to show up, trust me, I know. We had over 40 people signed up for the Lexus RM series at one point and were still struggling to get more than ten people qualified for the races by the end of it.

Basically, if you want to race, you'll be able to, but in the beginning, if you're not careful, you might find yourself at risk of being eliminated.

In the unlikely circumstance that there's constantly more than 16 qualifiers, a second division will definitely be held.

It's nice to know that nothing is written in stone and options are appreciated. :)

Hopefully I can make the cut today because was finally able to beat my M/T time w/ the A/T so I will be able to last the 1.5 hrs event. 👍

Well as of this minute, absolutely nobody has qualified yet.
So It's looking like anyone who wants will make tonight's race.

I'm doing the IWC series now and hope it will finish in time for todays race. Wardez if anything can you hold off the race a bit for me to make it, don't wait longer the 10 minutes though. Im sure it might finish in time but just incase it doesn't.

Yeah don't worry, we might delay it about 30 minutes at the most.

I guess when the room is opened we'll just do "by fly" qualifying again?

Whats that? I still yet to have a proper tune for this car. Last weeks race I was running on everything stock except the LSD.

But for what it's worth, everyone can scrap their tunes from last week.

5 / 0
11.0 / 10.0
6 / 6
5 / 5
6 / 5

2.0 / 1.0
0.00 / +0.10

Is what I'd call a decent base tune, after that driver preference should start coming into play.

There you go, great tune 👍

LSD:
9 / 14 / 9

BB: 7/5

Two key points of interest when qualifying for Indy this week:

Be careful on turn 8's entry. Cutting such as this will invalidate laps:

While turn 11's concrete pad will be allowed to be ridden on and will thus be considered track, this is legal:

Q1
Remy_K - 1:27.759
GTP_CSL - 1:27.281
Wardez - 1:28.031
GTP_Masicampo - 1:28.809

I thought I got the pole. :D I could not believe I was gaining on Remy. (even though the timer said so)
I guess if I can't race that's about as good as it can possibly be. :D

Either the update screwed me, or I need to fix something, if I recall it was fine last Sunday, and they did the update Monday, as of Friday, my connection was identified no good. :(

If anyone knows anything about "advanced" settings I'll be happy to post exact details, I do know it can be wired or wireless, wireless seems a bit better currently, upnp is not available, it's dsl, and nothing modified on either the modem, computer, or PS3.

I thought you were sitting it out CSL sorry! You did have pole!

I'll post the results later tonight, I've gotta run to work.

MUAh CIAO

All I'm going to say is this: Heavy damage is far, far too sensitive.

I was sitting out, but I assume my connection would have been sub-par anyway, it seems pretty poor constantly since the update.
