Indeed !

Will send the link to the rSeat US Retailler, I'm quite sad to see those pics, and the quality of the delivery services :/

While the packaging is lacking (and needs to be corrected), just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem I've had with mis-aligned mounting holes. This, for me at least, is just as important if not more important that the packaging issues. Spending this much money for a rig only to have to pull my drill out and drill holes so the pieces will fit together and to have to drill holes in order to mount my 'supported' steering wheel is really sad.

Additionally, so far I have heard nothing back from rSeat concerning the scratches on the seat and the nosepiece.

Anyone in Europe have any issues with the mounting holes not lining up?

No probs in France anyway :/

The package is realy good in my point of view, the main problem is the shipper. UPS is known in France, cause they don't take care of the boxes.
Don't know in the US, but, I don't really know what to say when I saw those pictures...

I can tell you from first hand experience as a former UPS employee. They are generally terrible in their handling of packages going through their system, especially over-sized or very heavy packages which this would fall into both categories. The system is designed for small packages which can easily move through sorting facilities on a belt and slide system.

Large heavy packages are supposed to be moved around by hand on carts, but the employees are not paid well and will force them onto the belt system where they get jammed and twisted around corners. If they do put them on carts, it is not usually a gentle process. They are supposed to use 2 people to move large heavy packages around, but usually don't have time to get help, so they do it by their self usually with some kicking and dropping of the package.

Then once it gets on the delivery truck, it is a big headache for the driver. It is usually blocking half his truck and he has to move it by himself which may involve some more kicking and dropping.

So by the time it gets to you the customer who has ordered it, it has been kicked, dropped, slammed around, twisted through belt and slide systems several times. So the fact it even made it at all with all pieces still there is amazing.

Curious, is there a difference in how your package is handled if you ship UPS ground vs. UPS air?

Troysloth I agree 100%. In college I worked for FedEx and some of the handling of large packages was shocking. Low pay, freezing/hot conditions, jerk managers = your Rseat doesnt stand a chance.

Yes there is a major difference between UPS ground and air shipments. The main one being the number of times your package is handled. For an air shipment, your package may be handled 5 or 6 times. For a ground shipment, depending on how far it is traveling, it could be handled up to 20 times or more. Every time the package is handled, there is a potential for damage.

Haven't posted in awhile so here's are a few pics of my rSeat Formula

Ok, here are some pics of my rSeat Formula /(what I call an) FTS F1 Platform (it's a platform I requested Mark make for me based off of the TC-R1 rig)/50" Monitor Stand (with custom mounting brackets) integrated sim rig.

Just finished getting my rSeat Formula seat/FTS F1 platform and my FTS Monitor stand all tied together as one unit (everything is on wheels so I can easily move the whole rig (50" monitor included).

Mark at Fast Track Sims make me some custom brackets for me from an idea I had which would allow me to adjust my monitor stand legs both vertically and horizontally, that way I could move them in very close together (as well as adjust the height). In addition I had an idea of how to connect my rSeat to my monitor stand and gave Mark some photoshop images of what I had in mind. From that he make me some custom brackets to attach my monitor stand legs to my rSeat Formula rig front end. I then used some brackets I had on hand to connect the monitor stand legs to my FTS F1 platform so that everything is tied together. The rSeat is bolted to the FTS F1 platform, the monitor stand is attached to the front end of the rSeat and the monitor stand legs are attached to the FTS platform. It's all very sturdy and stable. I have the FTS platform mounted on retractable wheel casters (i can raise and lower the wheels on the casters). The unit rolls around very easily.

Here are some pics:

It looks like there is no stand for the monitor

I'm going to start on my other rig tomorrow and to get the SimX traction loss module installed on my TC-R1 rig, I'll post some pics when I finish.

Hope you enjoyed the photos.

Heheh, already bought 1 during the summer holiday.

Just looking to have it put on a aluminium/steel/wooden frame with wheels, so it can be moved around:)

Ideas always welcome!!!!!!!!!!!:gtpflag:

I built a wooden platform for mine tall enough to put the computer and all the wiring underneath. It's fairly simple, I just used some 2x6's for the frame, 4x4's for the legs, and 1/2" sheet of plywood for the top. I covered the plywood in red fabric just to make it look nice. I'm still working on figuring out something to hide everything underneath and the wood frame. I was going to have a banner printed to go around the two exposed sides, but a local sine shop wants a little over $100 which is ridiculous.

Some pictures would be nice.
Was also thinking of a wooden construction.
To cover the wood I was thinking of putting carbon foil on it.

Here's a picture of my setup as it sits right now. Like I said I want to hide the exposed wood as well as the underside. I'm probably going to print up a big banner with car logos or something that runs the entire length. I removed the little rubber stoppers from the front "feet" and bolted those directly down to the plywood, works very well and it's very solid now.

Apologies for the crappy cell phone picture.
