So i started seeing alot of threads talking about rubber bands for endurance races
Anyone wanna explain cuz i dont know what the hell it is
 
Its when you put rubber bands on the controller in such a way that it makes the car (mainly the Red Bull) go around Indy by itself.

It probably would have been alot easier to just do some searching on it.

Im only lvl 36
Sooo could i use the gran turismo formula one car?
 
Emo lol i haven't heard that word in a while, its just when ppl ask question on forums ppl get all crazy.

You have to be lvl 40 to buy the x1, I just got to lvl 35 yesterday on bspec and you are given one as a gift. i dont think the fgt will work but if you wanna add me as a friend on psn I put that one online since i already have a x1 i got through A trade earlier.

Yes lvl 40 a-spec you can buy one.
lvl 35 b-spec you win one (for free)
You will need a FGT to finish the game.

It's not a glitch, it's legitimate way to race for people who actually have a life outside GT5.

hey man this is what i have to say!!!!!......i finished the game completly.... i did a spec completly legit t ill i hit level 35 a spec..... then i started to cheat since getting to level 40 would off taking me 2 years to acomplish!!!!i my goal was to finished the game so the rubber band trick was very helpfull. you cant do the endurance race with this trick.... the only course you can do is indy. (like the wind).my way off doing it was with a TURBO controller that i bought for 13$ .if you dont want to buy this controller you will need a keyboard with usb wired +youre regular ps3 controller. go on youtube to see the rubber set up and there you go !!!!! i was running my trick all night and woke up with tones off credit and exp..... good luck!

I think the OP is referring to the expression 'rubberband AI", which is different from the rubberbanding of controllers at Indy amd much more difficult to explain because the imagery is slightly different for different people. The AI is generally preset to playout a certain way, do a certain number of laps, etc. The rubberband imagery comes when an AI deviates slightly from that predetermined course due to accidents or you ramming them off the track, and they kind of slingshot back to where they were supposed to be. They are essentially stuck to the moving pegs on the driving line by a 'rubberband' coding which allows for slightly restricted deviations. It's just a way to say that the AI is not very intelligent.
 
If I had time and photoshop at work, I would so make GT5 brand rubber bands to post in this thread.
 
You can win the X1 by doing the Vettel Challenge and you only need bronze to get it. Since a recent update, they dramatically raised the lap times needed to get it and with a bit of practice you can have it in less than an hour most likely.

Well, I've spent several hours with a pad and I still can't bronze it. Also, after about 10 DQs I want to throw said pad against the wall, so I usually just quit and go do something fun instead.
