SCEE confirms European GT4 launch date

Ok you wanna know what its based on. I will tell you whats its based on. Back last year there was a press release about GT4 and one of things said was there US release date will be 4 days behind the Uk release. (not in those words of course) This website you keep advertising is nothing more than a group of 11 people trying to make money through web advertising who know little about games. All they do to get their info is copy what everyone else is saying and use common sense to guess the releases of games. oh and of course add offical sounding wording to make the website seem bigger.

Damn they added 2 more days to it, i heard that it was going to come out on 9th of march.
Well i'll have to wait for it, or rob a store after they've got the suply of games in, cause they always have them before the release date:P

hmm, play.com still has the date set for 25/02/2005, but that will probably be updated.

Im i wonder why it hasnt been changed? Mybe its to follow suit with all these websites

At least theres finally some consistency in release dates. I remember last year when nobody wanted to believe a 2005 release.. We're getting closer to a real release date and Stune pointed out some consistency in his websites. I'm not saying they're 100% real or final release dates, but I'm trusting them anyway.

An official release date would be nice though.. like one that says 'Press Release' or something under "news" on playstation.com or something

Well it might make you happier to know that i had at least 5 more at the time which said the same thing but i didnt put then in becouse it would take too long to post. I thought there was enough consistancey for people to get the idea
 
I can't take all this speculation on the realease date so have therefor ordered my Japanese copy off ebay at a price of £59.95 & £2.95 p&p.. Hopefully will have it for the weekend, just hope it works on my chipped PS2 now.. :sly: EXCITMENT!!! YAY!
 
You see I'm right --> 11 march.

I don't believe its gonna come in Uk on the 25th and the rest of europe 11th march.

We have 2 wait 2 months and thats 2 long
 
With all the delays this game has been through the only sure date, is the date you stand in the store with the game in your hands. Thoug, it is nice to know about when that (maybe) will be.

I hate we have to wait for all the translations i europe. They will probarly not make a norwegian version, and if they do I would prefer the english one. I have tried some games with nowegian menus, but I am so used to english gamemenus that i have problems understand the norwegian ones.

In Holland we almost never get games with Dutch ingame translation. Burnout 3 was an exception. Really, they should not have bothered. The translation of the crashes and other trendy terms where just too hilarious. Good for a laugh, but that's it.

I feel the same. The only games translated to swedish are games for kids and it would feel pretty silly to have GT4 in swedish. Plus, as you say that english is much easier to understand when it comes to gaming if you're used to it.

I go for the english xp too, there is a swedish version but I would never use it.
 
Newest PAL date forwarded to the press today by SCEE is 9th March - 2 weeks delay of last "official" date, 23rd Feb. So, 9th March it is.

Hmm .. they haven´t changed it on their own website.

Can you give a quote or link where you read about that?
Otherwise I don´t see how you expect someone to actually believe what you are saying.

The english translations from the original japanese have never been that sparkling either!
 
It's too bad we can't just rename this thread "More of the same release date speculation".

Besides. I have the real release date. A friend of mine has a cousin who is dating a girl who works at Wal-Mart, and she asked the guy who sweeps up at night in the games section, and he said the release date for the U.S. would be February 29th. :sly:
