I want a doorbell that plays the Car Nifty tune.

Holy cow, the start-up sound is exactly how it is in GT5! They really DID record it!

Whats amazing about the boxer is how it sounds in the car v from outside, its so raspy inside and sporty outside... I absolutely love it.

I'm not big on the throaty intake noise inside the cabin, but it sounds about like a lively 4-cylinder should sound, which is good.

Yeah well this guy is used to driving V12 Ferraris and the like. I see what he means about this boxer. It just goes. It's so Gran Turismo-like. Want me to buzz faster? You got it, boss.

As others have described it, its a bit vacuum-cleaner-y. Nothing particularly bad, not nearly as "whooooooh" as my Toyota, but definitely with a bit more "grrrrrr" to start. I'd personally be more worried about what it sounds like at 70+ MPH on the highway, but I'm sure we're on the verge of finding out.

Please tell me the US BRZ gets those wheels and that engine start button.

How can you say nope when that is obviously an advertisement for STI-branded optional equipment?

What's your point?
I'm sure ebay will have those options "available" for anyone with few extra grand.

I was going to say, with the amount of ridiculous STi-branded equipment you can get on a standard Impreza, there is no reason why they wouldn't offer this kind of stuff on the NA-Spec BRZ.

His point was that you're talking out your ass.
The question wasn't if they are standard equipment.

Don't mix-up 'optional equipment' and 'dealer-available accessories'. I'd expect buttons to be available @dealers. Wheels - not so much. There are tons of cool OEM JDM Subaru wheels that never made if here.

Doesn't mean much. Subaru would be quite silly not to offer those wheels when people are going to be begging for them off the showroom floor. They already offer so many options for their other cars, I'd see no reason why they wouldn't for this.

What's so different about BRZ? Tons of STI owners would've preferred some JDM stock wheels too, but those never came here. And I think STI sales at least as high as current projections for BRZ.

Who's mixing what up? Who specified options/accessories? No one.
He asked if the US BRZ can get those parts and technically, the answer is yes. No matter how you try to spin it, you were wrong.

Keep "talking out of your ass", pal. These aren't new wheels, they were offered on a few JDM Subarus years back. No US dealer ever sold them. Sure, you can pay >$3k to get them to you from Japan, so "technically" they are available, so are nukes/coke/meth to anyone who really-really wants to buy them.

Congrats, you're honorary #1 on my ignore list.

In an effort to separate the BRZ from the FR-S, probably move it upscale, one has to assume that STi will offer numerous dealer-installed upgrades as pictured in that brochure. Many people will pay a lot extra for the STi name and to differentiate their car from cheaper Scion models.

Meh, for a very limited run production car, and very diverse preferences for wheels, I doubt it matters enough.
Wanna differentiate - get a unique Subaru color - WRB.

I'm sure the kind folks at Scion would be happy to shovel any number of TRD parts you request into/onto your vehicle if you have the coin, certainly enough to differentiate it from the BRZ as well. Although they won't be nearly as numerous as the Subaru (that list on the Impreza blows my mind, almost as complex as a Porsche), it'll be there. Day one.

I wonder if we can get the steel donuts that come on the RA spec. I'm not a fan of any of the wheels.

You're hopeless.

Subaru sells <80k imprezas a year globally. They are aiming to sell 12k BRZs a year just in japan(that's about half the number of imprezas they are estimating to sell in japan). They are planning to sell this car for 7+ years.
Very limited production does not seem to apply.
