I expect to see headlights that are similar to current Impreza's.. and a hoodscoop. how could they forget the hoodscoop.. and bigger-than-life WRC style wing.

Am I right in thinking that the hood scoop isn't even functional on modern Impreza's? Why continue a dated trend to the detriment of efficiency and design?

well, unless they've changed from TMI to FMI, it's still functional..

EDIT:It's been spotted on the 'Ring!

Far less awful than the Toyota version, this one actually looks good. Something like a cross between the Impreza and a BMW 1-series.

You mean the Camo, or the Artist's impression?

Because neither is particularly accurate of the final product.

anyways, looking at the size of this thing, I'd give it serious consideration. there hasn't been a RWD car this small since...well....the Miata.

The camo. The artist's impression isn't much more than a GT-R with a Subaru family face but the mule has quite a strong resemblance to the 1-series hatchback with a short trunk, at least in my opinion.

Again, that's irrelivant. That could me much higher than the final intended product.

Quit trying to take styling cues from powertrain mules.

So is the Subaru version going to part from tradition and be RWD? I might consider buying one if they can mix the aggresive styling traits of the current Sti (especially the fenders flares) with the FT-86 concept 👍

Hopefully they can keep the thing well under 3000lbs pounds as that would make it quite a potent track machine I would imagine :)

It looks like an Escort. If they can keep it any less ugly than, say, a Forester and a half, I think I'd like it.

IN other words, like a Miata. :3

I like how they disguised it as an '90s Jetta crossed with a CR-X from the rear. X3

Exactly. With a non-turbo 2.0, it was never going to be a scorcher... but that's not the point of cars like this... especially at the projected price-tag. I hope it comes in under-price...

And I hope they uncork the exhaust a little more. Needs more boxer rasp!

all they need is unequal length exhaust manifold.. then you would get your boxer burble.

Love it! I've got a friend with an STi running a 4" downpipe to 3" straight back to a 3" muffler. No cats. Car sounds incredible.

I dunno...when I look at the concept, I desperately hope the noise will be 20 valves thrashing in fury. IN other words, Half a Ferrari V8.

I do like how they've got it chasing an IS-F in the video from post #222. Of course, that means little in terms of actual performance. As long as the handling is there, I'll be happy. Especially if its cheap. I'm not a fan of boxer power personally, I think the FT-86 would be a bit more interesting with some kind of ZZ successor, but that's just being picky.

If you can sell me one for well-under $20K Toyota, I'm interested.

-> I do hope Subaru keeps those taillight design, it reminds me of a VW Corrado:

^ Looks like this "SVX" is on the right track. :)

I'm a huge fan of the knee pad for the driver's left knee to go against the center tranny tunnel. The only other car I've noticed this in is the S2000. I'd like to figure out a way to get one made for my car.

It's also in the R8. And, yeah, I love it. However, one is not necessary if the footwell and console is properly designed.

Although I still have a mixed feeling about the cars exterior, I really like the futuristic looking instrument panels. :)

Toyota has already said that the dashboard will be completely changed for the production car.

I love the carbon fiber rear diffuser, (sp?) but we all know it'll be one big piece of plastic on the production car.

DANG! I really like the interior! I hope it is at least close to being fancy as luxury cars. That would definately get car nuts crazy over it.

I am still surprised with carbon fiber being in a car that is going to cost this much. It would make sense to me if they don't have it on and sell it seperately on the TRD section of the ad.

That's a knee pad? My knees are nowhere near that spot on my car... More like tucked in behind the steering wheel.
