Seasonal: Honda Civic

What I don't like about these new seasonal races is that there are always three or four rabbit Civics that have an advantage in power and therefore with comfort soft tires are most of the time close to impossible to beat with older, lighter Civic models with less power but about the same PP rating.

By the way, why are there still people grinding like nuts??? I heard going to grind this and that. There you get a lot of XP and money, but seriously, what did they do in the last time? Still not at level 40 with grinding? I'm almost there and haven't done any grinding yet!

Credits, pure and simple. If you buy a lot of cars, and you buy a lot of parts for them, then you need Credits. Only way to get lots of Credits is to grind. The Seasonals help an awful lot in this respect and actually reduce the amount of grinding required.

The only other alternative is auto grinding Bob and his mates.

If there were bigger payouts for regular A-Spec/B-Spec and online, then there'd be no grinding.

Seriously though, what do you do for Credits..?? If you want to go buy yourself a Cr20mil car, how do you go about it..??

Ideally with a 50:50 weight distribution spring rates would be equal on both axles.

you get helmet or suit every time you complete race also credit for every race good way of building up your outfit collection
 
370k for <5 minutes of racing is how GT5 should have been from the start. Finally we get decent money. I can make 20mil in a few days now rather than months.

You are right about the credits, but I already have about 300 cars and never driven most of them! Also having the collectors edition with the stealths and chromelines, that are a bunch of brilliant cars! I buy an expensive car, when I have the credits and easily can wait for that. Not saying, that I have something against grinding, but it isn't fun enough for me to do and the car I can buy faster, when grinding aren't reason enough for me...

PD can just give us more seasonals! I like the idea of a whole seasonal for "one" car! I don't need helmets or suits at all, but still take them...

Old cars are cool, makes this a challenge too, the fiat, sti, lotus challenges are a bit more challenging, i still haven't golded them yet.
Both are nice challenges too.

Aced all of them with a Civic type r right after I got home from work. Now that I have them all gold will try again this weekend with lower spec cars just for the fun of it.

My best time was somewhere around 4:30 mins so no it isn't faster than the Kei car cup but you get more money:) but unfortunately less exp (45000):grumpy:

You also get a special helmet each time you complete it. I used a premium Honda Civic '08 tuned to 450pp
 
Some how I over looked the 80s civic when buying cars. Anybody got an extra? I'll make it worth it.
I was really going to use my stock spoon. Oh well I'll use it on the FF seasonal again.
 
i give up on the expert seasonals for the Fiat, Elise and Subaru......... ill vent out my frustration in this Civic Seasonal in my Civic Type R sedan........ :)
 
What is it with these suits and helmets, they are absolutely no use to anyone, but I have to win them all?

Really liking these seasonals. Next time maybe they could be improved by having the difficulty of last weeks seasonals, and getting credits for every result like this weeks.

I used the RM 97 Civic, because it's the only civic I own.
I've only run it twice and each lap ranges from 51.xxx - 52.xxx
And the first lap is a 53.
(53+(52*4))/60= 4m21s
I don't care about the exp/$ I just wanna get a few suits/helmets

For those curious, you still get new helmets (different ones) each time, ever if not connected to PSN anymore. So for people on limited bandwidth, like me, you can load the track, disconnect, and continue to 'grind' without any negative effects on prizes/rewards. I was worried, the server might have something to do with providing 'different' helmets each time.

Fairly easy in the 94 type R with 221hp 415pp. Tried with the 01 Type R with 196hp and it's more challenging. As has been mentioned there is always a joker and that probably is an AI type R which is your equal down the straights.

Comfort softs seems amazingly grippy on these civics compared to other cars you have with them on.

These seasonals are much like all of the other non-expert ones (FF, Supercars, French, etc). You can just overtune to blow away the competition and win easily or you can try and make it a challenge by tuning under the AI cars more and more and force yourself to race better to beat them.

It's all up to you and how you enjoy playing this game....ahem, simulation. 👍

For me, I do it both ways. I beat this Seasonal at 11:30PM last night with one of the premium Type Rs, dang if I can recall which one at the moment though. Tonight, and over the weekend, I'm going to do as others have suggested and challenge myself by racing inferior cars against the AI and see "how low I can go" and still win. :cool:
 
Damn, you can't use the '90 CRX (it's not listed as a Civic, duh!)

Used the 91 Civ from the UCD and swapped out the oil and kept the comfort softs on.

First 2, ran standard, then had to upgrade tyres, until the last one I did on sports hard.

A fun, if unimaginative seasonal.

Still got last week's Scooby one to do tho.

Just my 2 cents...sorry but I really dislike the fact that a damn honda is in the game muchless a freakin odyssey VAN!!! WTF people don't race VANS you idiots!!!

p.s. '08 civic type R fully upgraded then power and ballast balanced/restricted with SS, never thought a fwd car could be so much fun.
