79 3 door Civic. Comfort Soft tires. 410 PP. Won Deep Forest.

Dropped PP to 399 and came in 2nd by 0.2 seconds. I'll give it another shot and see what happens.

That's less than an hour from here. My moms ex h Iusband works at the plant.
Now I am wondering just where that track is.
 
I need a decent civic tune. I got mine hauling ass but trying to fight understeer. I got laps at around 56 seconds on stage 5, and 1.50 on the second to last one w 3 laps reverse. Anyone, ???

Easy way to ditch understeer on FF is to drop the rear ride height 10 lower than the front.

I will need to try that, stupid me lowered the front more and added weight to the back. It seems to be working though because I'm getting 52-53 second laps on Eifel.

,, or just drop it to the floor and tap the handbrake during the turn to bring the back end round slightly. Keep that accelerator planted in the bulkhead!!
 
finally something for a Honda fan! im using a civiv type r'08.basically tears the comprtition apart.absolutely amazing handling.cant help but goldchromed it.dont really care about killing the competition.i want the collectible gears fast..and the fun part is you never know what you gonna get.

I don't even know what set up I'm using, but my best lap so far is a 50.450. Most laps are in the 51's though. That just happened to be a near perfect lap.

Edit: I'm using GTP_Plato's tune from WRS, which is just a crazy set of extremes. Meaning the other tunes are probably better for overall balance, but I maxed my credits earlier today, so I can't(won't) really test them.

I think with the right tune, and actually using 5th or 6th gear, I could hit 49's.

Sure it works, but there are better ways to obtain the same result without sacrificing speed.
 
Try increasing toe out on both front and rear. Currently working my 1500 3 door CX '79 in to where I want it and using -20/-20 toe settings with the front droped all the way and the rear about 20 mm higher.
 
also, left foot brake (hold gas and brake at the same time) if you overshoot the apex.
 
Took the 3door '83, gave it an oil change, didn't check tyres, thought sport hard could be about right for some competition and 5 laps later I won Deep Forest by some seconds... please PD find a middleway of having a good challenge and overtune for an easy win!

Tomorrow back to the Subaru event! Still no gold, but very very close to it (1-2 seconds)... no HP parts at all! I just want to make it like that! I could easy give it some HP, but it's too close to give up now...
 
After each race in this seasonal, I had to keep lowering the power of my engine because it would go up to 451PP. Needless to say I was always right on the line for entry requirements. I was using the Honda Civic Type R (EK) ‘97, STC's tune (tweeked it a bit). There was indeed a bit of understeer, but nothing horrible...you jjust couldn't fly into the sharper corners. I won every race easily...Now if only the Fiat 500 was this easy for me...:indiff:.
 
I was really looking forward to this one as I used to own a Type-R '01. So I ran one completely stock (midnight black pearl like mine) and won them all by a country mile. Hmmm.

I fully expected to out-brake the AI and keep better momentum, but what surprised me was how much faster I was on the straights against supposedly identical machinery. Just a bit disappointing really as I don't feel I should be power limiting a completely stock car just to make things competitive.

Anyhow, dragged out the little orange '79 model I bought ages ago to make things a little more spicy, tuned it to about 115bhp, put it on SS tyres and ... won everything again. Suzuka and Eifel Kart were pretty tough tho'.

Next I'll be seeing how little tuning I need to do to a '93 Si to gold them all. Wish me luck. :dopey:

EDIT: Anything near 400PP will walk this.

For those of us just looking to use this seasonal for grinding for outfits, which one of the 5 races is the shortest?

I really enjoyed doing tokyo reverse. Its amazing how different a track is backwards.

When you go to replay, you can see all compounds for every car in the race, just scroll all drivers on the right side of replay-screen and on the upper left you can see their compounds. As I remember, all cars are running Comfort Soft exclusively.

I also presume all cars on grid are running on stock HP/weight settings.
 
So after racing the Eiffel Circuit on the Civic Seasonal I feel like it'd make a sick Kart Racing track. Anyone else think so?

Really wish I could bring my Kart to the track now :(

I used the 1500 '73 civic with the high rpm turbo and sports medium tyres. No other upgrades. It was a massive challenge, mainly due to the massive drop in revs between 3rd and 4th gear so acceleration was severely hindered until the revs picks up again. Managed to gold all the events.
The car handled like a dream and just kept turning even at full throttle (although the outside drive wheel always lost grip). Definatley one of the funnest drives I've had in the last month
 
I wouldn't call it a fair challenge with tires other than comfort softs, the ones opponents use.

I agree.

It is a good challenge, AI field is almost the same every time you enter, so it almost can fall under the restrictioned race logic.

Full-stock Civic R '97 can win first race.
2nd and 3rd race i used >201HP upgrade (chip+racing filter)
4th and 5th race I used *stock* Civic RM

All races on CS tires. Good challenges.
 
I agree this Seasonal is AWESOME for CR and XP plus the gifts are the CHERRY on the TOP !!!!!
