I'm really struggling with this.
I've got silver in the 1st one, and bronze already in the snow one. And I think if I keep running those a couple of times every time I play, I'll get golds eventually. (I'm not one to do the same thing for hours, I find it easier to try something for a little while, then go back to it again the next day - it's like it "sets" somehow while I sleep. haha)
I get the ideas on the 1st & 3rd. I know it's just a matter of me practicing, but I feel there's something else I'm doing just way wrong on the Eiger one. Because I'm NOT EVEN CLOSE.
I feel like I know the track fairly well now, and I can easily keep up with the ghost car... up until the downhill part, and as I go down & down the mountain, I lose more & more time.
The "example" is a joke to me frankly - the car looks like it's on a railroad track, and I actually go faster than the example in several parts of the track!!
Oh, and I do try to ignore the ghost car, I just happen to notice that seems to be where I lose loads of time, whereas I go much faster in several parts of the track than the ghost car or the example. But I lose tons of times on the downhill section. (which is a rather big part of the whole track!)
I'm using a ds3. traction control off, skid recovery force ON, and everything else at whatever default it's on.
Driving line off - though I tried it with it on and did even worse. I brake much less than the driving line would have me do, and I'm much faster that way.
Does the driving line help in that downhill section maybe?
Is it just a matter of practice? Or is there something I'm missing on the downhill section?
