I have golded all of them today in about 2 hours ( for all events). With a DS3, Traction control: 3 on Eiger, 5 on Toscana and Chamonix ; ABS: 1 ; Skid Recovery Force: On .
Isn't that hard, I also have gold at the Top Gear Challenges and it wasn't that hard, and GT5 is my first Gran Turismo ( and I am also 14 years old). With some patience you can do everything.

( sorry for my english, isn't that good because I'm from Romania)

if your using a ds3, to change the torque diff, go to controller options, and assign (for example):
select: RA Function
up on d-pad: RA Select Up (or something like that)
down on d-pad: RA Select Down (or something like that)
left on d-pad: RA Adjust -
right on d-pad: RA Adjust +

then you can change all the tcs, brake bias, abs and torque diff :)

I've struggled to beat the bronze time 3 times, on 4th try I golded it.
The point is in NOT sliding, as GT5 rally is - sliding in rally = bad.
Imagine it's on tarmac and as TCSdisable said, ignore Loeb's ghost.
Also use RA menu, put TCS to 0 and torque distribution to 50:50.

After reading some thoughts on here about driving line, SRF, and Auto trans, i managed to gold all 3 easily. The driving line is the best thing you can use. Auto trans is also really helpful as it lets you focus on driving instead of shifting.

I'm really struggling with this.
I've got silver in the 1st one, and bronze already in the snow one. And I think if I keep running those a couple of times every time I play, I'll get golds eventually. (I'm not one to do the same thing for hours, I find it easier to try something for a little while, then go back to it again the next day - it's like it "sets" somehow while I sleep. haha)

I get the ideas on the 1st & 3rd. I know it's just a matter of me practicing, but I feel there's something else I'm doing just way wrong on the Eiger one. Because I'm NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I feel like I know the track fairly well now, and I can easily keep up with the ghost car... up until the downhill part, and as I go down & down the mountain, I lose more & more time.

The "example" is a joke to me frankly - the car looks like it's on a railroad track, and I actually go faster than the example in several parts of the track!!

Oh, and I do try to ignore the ghost car, I just happen to notice that seems to be where I lose loads of time, whereas I go much faster in several parts of the track than the ghost car or the example. But I lose tons of times on the downhill section. (which is a rather big part of the whole track!)

I'm using a ds3. traction control off, skid recovery force ON, and everything else at whatever default it's on.
Driving line off - though I tried it with it on and did even worse. I brake much less than the driving line would have me do, and I'm much faster that way.

Does the driving line help in that downhill section maybe?

Is it just a matter of practice? Or is there something I'm missing on the downhill section?
