Im happy to have them if they please people and I suppose it could be fun racing online with some really old stuff.
LMAO!!👍
Some of those car's do deserve recognition though, they started it all. Without them, there would be alot less Car manufacturere's today and some of the greatest races in the world started with them. So as nasty as they may look to some, they still deserve credit.
Love your timescale for them though lol, some of the maker's of those Car's are still alive lol!

I honestly have little interest in the vast majority of cars circa pre-1960, with a few exceptions.
No, No No.
It needs a lot of investment from PD (time, development, tuning etc.) and the driving on those cars is mostly boring since they drive very slow, acceleration is almost zero and the handling is poor.
Imagine yourself driving the Nurburgring with one of those cars - it will take you about 1 hour for one lap...and I guess the gear changing will be very little since the speed is low.
I prefer having more modern & fast cars to have tight racing with other opponents.
There are some cars that undoubtly should be put in the game, wether for racing pedigree or historical significance...
Just to name a few:
Bugatti Tipo 35
Bugatti Tipo 57 (if possible all bodies that were manufactured)
Bugatti Royale
Alfa-Romeo 8C
Bentley "Blower"
Auto-Union (Type's A, B, C and D)
Mercedes-Benz W165
Mercedes-Benz W154
Mercedes-Benz W125
Mercedes-Benz W25K
Mercedes-Benz 500 K Special Roadster
Mercedes-Benz 710 SSK 27/240/300 hp Trossi Roadster
Excellent list you've got there.
As for me, I certainly don't object to having older cars in the game, just as long as they meet one requirement: They cannot be as useless to drive as the Motor Carriage.
Driving say a Bentley Blower around the Circuit de la Sarthe should be a hell of a lot more difficult to drive than taking modern stuff round (given the rubbish tires, breaks etc) but still fast enough to be fun. Should certainly make for interesting gameplay!
May I introduce you to the Napier Railton....

.....500bhp from a 24 litre engine (not a typo) and a top speed of 160+ MPH. It has held 47 land speed records since it was built in 1933, and still runs twice a year (its now located at the Brooklands museum).
Kind of disproves the all being slow bit (by the way I could do this all day, the number of stupidly fast cars from that era is quite surprisingly large), and woulld certainly be a challenge to drive quickly given that the Railton only had rear brakes.

The slower and older - the more I want to see if it can make it around the Nurb!
Ok then, let me rephrase my comment.
I meant to say that I don't like old-slow cars. Because they are not fun to drive. If it's slow you may want to take it to 1 lap just to feel it because from GT4 experience one wouldn't like to race on old-slow cars.
Let me rephrase that for you: you don't like slow cars, period. What's the difference between old slow and new slow? I find old slow to be better looking cars, not to mention they are more significant.
