ok seriously now, think about it GT4 is trying to be a REAL driving simulator right? Now name 1 time at LE manz, 1 time in trans am any time in JGTC history, that a competator has used Dinitrous Oxide, honestly, when would it be any use? To get that extra 100 HP and slam into a wall at twice the speed you would have before? Seriously, this pole was un nessicary. IF GT4 incorperates a 1/4 then perhaps, but then it'd still be a little lame in my eyes.

Not in those series. But again, in Formula Palmer Audi - a full FIA-accredited single seater race series, run by ex-F1 driver Jonathon Palmer - cars can receive a 35hp nitrous shot a limited number of times in the race. Since the cars weigh 400kg, that's quite a boost. And these cars race around circuits - with corners and everything!

Mopar muscle, that was the most stereotypically bias statement i've heard. I mean seriously, have you seen the FWD Pro AM Record holder? It's a SHOW civic that run's 11.2 on street tires, and 10.5 on slicks. NO nitrous.

after havingnalyzed youreactions to my comments, i have been lead to believe that you own a honda. is this true?

tell me driftster, does your honda run a 11.2 time?
NO! so shut the hell up.

a STOCK viper can give a 11.7 on street tyres, 0.5 seconds behind. a stock viper tops out at 190 mph... what about this civic you speak of?

No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No No
there should not be any NOS

NOS is for the street racing games

This game is supposed to be a driving simulator. Not a Paul Walker simulator! You dont see nitrous on a corvette, or a ferrari. Know why? Because they DONT NEED it! nitrous is for "ricer wanna be's".
GT4 with a nitrous option, sounds like crap to me!:banghead:

For 1, I don't even own a Honda, so I won't shut up because that childish response made NO sense what so ever. A STOCK Viper also costs a HELL of alot more than a civic does it not? A STOCK viper is engineered for racing is it not? A STOCK Viper has another 330HP over a civic does it NOT? God, all you do is state "yeah, a more expensive car is faster" You figured that out all on your own?

YES .....I think that Nitros Oxide would be Ideal since The producer and co:executive director says that," We wanted to sort-of set more of a street racing feel to GT4 since we are exited to encorperate more driver friendly specifications."

Well, there's two sides of the coin. One, you could shoot for much better acceleration and go ridiculously fast, but also it would take away from the reality of the game.

I'm not really sure what to say.

my point exactly. a civic is not a race car. stop pretending it is.
sure an 11.2 sec. time is pretty good for a civic, (or any other 4cl. car might i add) but a civic is not built for racing, on a track, it can't "keep up with the big boys."

in southern california, i see ALOT of civics with bodykits and loud mufflers, and an intake, and thats probably all. i see huge spoilers that are almost useless because a civic gearbox tops
out at 115mph.

i see "type R" stickers on a civic with four doors!
(and the steering wheel is on the left side {WRONG SIDE!})
i see hoods painted black to present the illusion of carbon fiber
(that doesn't reduce any weight)

don't take my honda jokes too seriously, i dont care what other people want to do to their cars. because it's theirs.

Once again a 1 track minded person, you have to realize that racing isn't "I am faster than the other cars in the world" anymore
Racing is "I'm faster than the other cars in my class" Because like it or not, there is always going to be a faster car out there, so this whole "it's not built for racing" plays no part what so ever. 80% of the muscle cars wern't built for racing, because they were family cars. Doesn't mean they're not contenders right?

Anything with bodykits and loud mufflers are common place, not just civic's I see more neon's and Focus' with loud mufflers and bodykits, does that mean anything? No that means the owners are idiots. As for the wing being "almost useless" it's far from it, for one a civic gearbox tops out at 115, maybe if you have a Civic DX. But any speed over 80 will help keep the rear end stable on the freeway, I don't know about your highway system, but around here it can be very useful with all the illegals driving around, I'm not saying to go and BUY a huge wing, but it's more far more useful than a loud muffler or a bodykit on a n/a car

Ok first, not every Civic Type R is right hand drive, you've got to understand that first. Second, how do you know it was for the illusion of caron fiber? How do you not know it's just a junk hood, maybe they got in an accident and had to get a hood from a BLACK honda. If they had little lines scratched in it, then THAT would be an illusion of carbon fiber, but i'm pretty sure they know they couldn't pull that off. As far as Type R Stickers, i've seen and i'm sure most people on this forum have seen mustangs with GT-R emblems, I've recorded a Corvette C5 with a SiR sticker on the back. IT's not just civic's

Once more, for the benefit of the hard of hearing...

Nitrous oxide IS USED IN REAL LIFE IN AN ACTUAL SINGLE-SEATER CIRCUIT RACING SERIES..

However much you don't like it (for whatever reason) it HAS real-life applications on real-life cars that really race on real circuits.

Do an internet search for "Formula Palmer Audi".

Sure, NOS has real life applications but on how many official races do you have the application of NOS?

Again with the "Formula Palmer Audi".

I don't know the brand they use, however. :D

yea, maybe ALL the "raced out" cars on the road just got into a little accident and then just happened to get a black hood. :odd:

i have seen mustangs with gt-r stickers / enblems too. they are stupid. what really makes me mad is when i see a "saleen" mustang thats not really a saleen. idiots. idiots. they are.

i drive an '86 toyota 1/2 ton pickup (4 cl. 22r) the whole truck is covered in stickers and and imounted a mustang emblem on the hood just for a joke. it's funny when people look at it.

i never said it was just civics that have fake emblems, i have seen cars of all makes with them as you have....not a corvette yet though..:odd: and if you think i like the "neon" just because i sport the name "mopar" your wrong. in case you were going to ask that question.

untill next time........

IF YA WANNA WIN.......................LURN TO FINE-TUNE YOUR CAR LIKE A REAL CAR-ADDICT....

THAT'S MY POINT

Salou 2003 was great!!!

I say no to NOS. Its a pretty good idea of having it in the 400m and 1000m but would you use it for a rally race? You would just crash more. And if there was damage (didnt search if there will be damage) that would be more money out of your pocket.

no there will not be damage:)
