Im about 20 hours into it and i love every second of it!

Pfft you guys are way behind the party. I bought that weeks ago on a pre-order.

I was going to welcome you to the club, but then I saw the little blue guy in the garage. :)

How do you like the Accord? Personally I can't get myself to like the sedan from any angle. Sometimes the coupe is nice. I did sit in a sedan in the dealership one day and couldn't believe how big and roomy it felt compared to my Civic. Very comfortable too, but then again I think all seats are going to feel like a well-worn sofa compared to the sport buckets in the Si.

I've had Hondas (cars) since 1981 (always had one and sometimes two). (Honda Goldwing since 1975). I've had every one they make except the S2000 and NSX. Everyone of them has surpassed my expectations and everyone of them have been bullet proof. This is my 4th Accord. A couple years ago when gas prices were shooting up through the roof towards $5 a gallon, I decided to trade in our CRV and get a new Civic. I wanted a 4-door but the 4-door Civic was just not up to my standards when it came to "looks". The Coupe looked really awesome by comparison so we got an '08 Coupe. The fuel economy was awesome, at 28 and 36 MPG.

However, now that my wife is joining me in retirement and the price of gas has somewhat stabilized, we want to start travelling coast to coast and wanted the additional comfort and room of the Accord. I can't describe what an awesome car the Accord is :) It simply blows my mind ! 190HP, tons of interior room and no interior road noise what so ever. It feels so much more luxurious than the last '87 Accord we had. The larger gas tank costs us $12 more each fill up, but then the range is extended by almost 100 miles. The first tank of gas covered 450 miles ... and that's with no engine break in yet.

The funny part of the story as it relates to your comment is that the little blue Civic you see in the shed belongs to a friend, who purchased it for his son as a college graduation present and didn't want him to see it while he was home for Christmas, so I stored it for him :)

Note: I also have a truck to pull our Honda powered boat on vacations. It's over 3 years old and just turned over 18K miles :) Our Honda boat motor is 15 years old :) I might add that my Honda lawnmower is 20 years old and the Honda lawntractor is 18 years old ... all running perfectly :)

......that's nice.

I wasn't even planning on getting it, I just saw it today and picked it up.

£30 bought me the adapters, from a UK site called Telescope House (helpfully appearing on my credit card as "Telescope Ho").

Much of the noise has been introduced by Photoshop's autocontrast - though as I say, it was indoors, through double-glazing, in a built-up area, with a badly set-up telescope, with the camera doing the auto settings and my finger on the shutter release making it wobble. Until I hop up to the moors and try it unobstructed, with a timer release (or ideally a remote), I won't get as good a photo as I can. But as an experiment/learning experience, it's cool as :D

Good job! I have an adapter to fit my camera onto the eyepiece of my telescope but I haven't had a decent chance to use it yet. Astrophotography sounds like a pain in the backside to say the least, so to get even a semi-decent shot with minimal effort is great news. I am crap with my digital camera at the best of times, but I tried adding photos together in Photoshop in order to improve the noise and it seemed to work quite well, although I'm sure there are easier/faster ways to do it!

Boss BR600 this is seriously one of hell of a piece of kit. Can't wait to learn how to use it to it's full potential! 👍

That's a nice one. I've always used a Korg PXR4 which I love. What type of music do you make, and what other gear do you own? I used to do Sampling for my friends post-rock (Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, etc) band but I got tired of it and began to do some Dub-Step.

My main passion is Harsh Noise and Power Electronics but I highly doubt there are any other fans here on these forums.

I just bought a new pedal about a week ago (Boss BF3 Flanger) which is looming in this picture which is my current Drone/Minimal set-up:

Cool! Any pictures of the FG1 before we get too off-topic? That boat looks like a ton of fun too...You may have noticed the link to my Civic (Si) in my sig. :)

First Honda car for my family, though my dad and I have sworn by Honda motorcycles and the like for ever. I started out on a '97 90cc (TRX?) ATV, then got a XR70 dirtbike new a few years later (1999?), then we went all out and had a 2003 CRF150F, 2003 250EX, ~2004 Rancher ES 2WD, 2001 Shadow Spirit 750, 2005 Reflex, and a Metropolitan and Ruckus. Also a Yamaha TW200. Nearly all at once...Got rid of a couple in the middle of there, I couldn't tell you what order anymore. Now we've just got my Civic and the Metropolitan.

Minimal effort is the key phrase. I turned the bedroom light off to go to bed and noticed it was bright out. "Moon", thought I. "Photograph", thought I. And I was back in bed inside 10 minutes. :D

I'll put some actual effort into it next time. I'm on a promise to go outside with the small person so she can look through the telescope at the Moon (they're doing primary-level astronomy at the moment) - and maybe if there's a clear night in a couple of weeks, I can drag her up the Moors for a slightly-less-light-polluted attempt.

That purple pedal behind the turntable, is that a Line6? I don't remember them making a purple pedal. I have the blue (modulation) pedal, and there's the green (time based effects - reverb and delay) pedal and a red (overdrive/distortion and amp modeling) pedal, but never a purple one. What does it do?

Just bought this on Ebay for $7 for when I get my new laptop.

I loved it on the PS2, hopefully it's as good on the PC.

I also plan on getting 4X4 Evo 2

Not so much a purchase, my new work phone....

palm-treo-pro-combo.jpg

....quite like it given that its free.

And is it any good? :)

The keypad is a bitty too small for my fingers, but they are at least rubber finished so you don't slip off them.

The touch screen works well and functionality wise it works very, very well (GPS with google maps should prove rather handy at times). E-mail pick-up is quick and easy (which is the main reason why work have started to use them) and the internet access is resonable given the size of screen.

Battery life is apperently an issue with this model, but I haven't had it long enough yet to be able to judge that.

To be honest I have no idea how well it compares to its rivals as we have no choice at work, we use what we are given, but they do pay all the bills so I can live with that.

Oh, it is second only to my PS3 in regard to how many fingerprints the gloss black finish picks up.

Interesting... thanks for the info! 👍

 @ bold print... That PS3 is like a fingerprint magnet.... I know exactly what you mean :)

I needed to get some new jeans A.S.A.P, so I got these skinny-ish Cherokee ones from Tesco, my previous pair from there has put up with over 5 years of daily wear and tear really well.👍

Bought a couple of songs off Amazon too.:)

Not really a purchase.. more like a Christmas present that finally showed up. Still, I'm quite happy to have them.

This should free up some much needed space on the DVR. I can finally delete all those old Top Gear episodes I'd been saving.

Bought these on Blu-ray.....

Dyson DC24.

Because our flat vacuum is utter crud and the OCD clean freak in me couldn't stand it any longer. And I wanted a Dyson and that was the smallest.

I just got my hands on this beast:

This thing must weigh a couple of pounds.
It feels like you've got a brick in your hands.

Yes, it is a Line6 FM4 Filter Modeler, it does plenty here is the link:

http://line6.com/fm4/

I have the blue modulation stompbox you're talking about too.

In that pic I also have the Boss T-U2, MXR- M135 Smart Gate, Boss Super Overdrive and a moogerfooger FreqBox. And 1 or 2 couple that weren't mine.
