Hey all - some of us talked a little last night about rigs and set ups - so if nothing else i thought it may be interesting to see whose got what.

Yes i know there are a bunch that are running the ‘controller’ (thats so 80’s dude) but considering most of those controller guys kick my a$$ it just proves that a rig isnt everything (id like to think mine is more than adequate but doesn’t necessarily make me any faster - more realism perhaps)

as well id like to hear from the G29 guys about their wheel settings (force feedback etc) ill post mine a little later -not in front of my machine right now- if nothing else for interest sakes....

here’s my rig

- g29 with ricmotech brake load cell mod
- Ricmotech DIY rig (essentially a set of wood working plans for $45 - i thought totally worth it as it saved me hours designing)
Inverted pedals (much better ‘feel’)
Sony wireless ear muffs (highly recommended as well)
Mazda 6 seat from the wrecking yard
And a 32 inch monitor.

biggest benefit? I haven't had to wait for my wife to ‘finish watching her movie’ since i built it a couple years ago.:D

Once i built my rig and graduated from a folding chair in front of the main house t.v. with the wheel attached to the coffee table i was booted out of the living room and relegated to the spare room (call it what it is...junk room).

g29, inverted my pedals, junk yard seat out of an early 2000s escort, bunch of deck screws and some scrap (wood that didnt yet have a purpose), hand me down 40" panasonic from teenage daughters room, ps gold headphones, 18" lung grenade, and clutter all around.....but its my lil happy place

Oh man those vertical shafts to stabilize the up\down movements on the stand is gonna be good help. My stand looks similar, but I don't have those shafts, so naturally it has some slight play (about 1" travel) up\down. I can't gripe about the $55 price, but now I want to do some drilling!

This what used to be my setup I went through a chair every 3 months or so but 10 bucks cant beat it lol

This is the newer setup right now paid 60 bucks and a trip to leesburg. Room is a mess right now or I would take a picture of it with all my sports stuff on the walls along with some ho scale slots cars my dad used to collect.
