Shuffle Racing

I had the best online experience last night on a shuffle race. It was 2 laps of Nurburgring 24H at night. I had a Miura and the other guy had a Shelby 427 Cobra. Obviously at a disadvantage as I had a 5 second lead by the time I reached the Nordschlife section, he continued to stay in the race. Thinking it was to good to be true, I continued racing him even as he dropped down and down. So by lap 2 I had a 1:45 second lead and I'm expecting him to leave. By the end I have a 1:50-1:55 second lead in the entire second lap and he stayed in till the end.

That's the way it should be. 👍
I never quit during a race, even when I get lapped.
Always try to do my best and finish the race. If it's not possible to keep up with other players due to a slower car or lack of skill, I continue just for fun and because it's disrespectful to quit, only because victory seems impossible.
In my opinion even a 2nd place can be a win depending on the circumstances during the race.

I agree, shuffle racing is by far the best way to play GT5 online if you don't know everyone in the lobby. It levels the playing field. And the 'shuffle ratio' feature makes it harder for the same guy to run off in an OP car. I also agree that a couple of different tiers of cars would be cool in a shuffle race aswell. Maybe one with supercars, and another with touring/racing cars 👍

Personally I'd love the shuffle ratio to be shuffled!

One race 500 then 380 then 420 etc etc.

Tried it yesterday and had some great fun. Good for people who don't want every car in the field to have track focused suspension tuning. Always interesting to have a 1969 Camaro and an Evo competing for the lead. It seems like there are a ton of Japanese cars in the shuffle sets.

The Cobra isn't so bad a choice on smaller courses, but with that 4-speed transmission, it maxes out at around 153MPH and is a severe disability on speed tracks like Indy, Daytona, High Speed Ring, etc.

As for a "tiers" system, correct me if I'm wrong, but now the Shuffle room has a PP slider to the left and the Shuffle Ratio on the right. The slider on the left is the different "tiers" and the slider on the right controls the amount of change in car performance that happens after a race.

Meaning, the higher the Shuffle Ratio, the higher the amount of performance change each finishing position receives. Is that right?

I don't know, but that sounds pretty cool. I'm away from ky playstation for a few weeks now (at Uni) so unfortunately o can't confirm this

I wish that's how it'd all be. But unfortunately, you have to search for a good lobby like this.

i love shuffle racing since i'm used to keep most of the cars in my garage bone stock , i don't tune my cars that much when i first went into shuffle rooms i immediately won and i am still wining a lot of races when the room is not crowded you will have a chance for a clean real race! i met so many people shuffling most of them added later as friends to keep track of the clean shuffle rooms, i wish someone here at Gt Planet would host a shuffle tournament or something or lets say a scheduled races with private lounges and limited amount of entrants so we would enjoy awesome racing!
