i hve a skyline vspec2 r34, and its set to drift, but its probably me, beacuze, alot of the times now, imsliding out, like it wont turn at all, i slide it, but it keeps going straight!:banghead: :banghead: so can anyone help me!?!?!

humm maybe your TSC and ASM are not set right, did you set it to 2, 1 or 0,1 depends what you want, but those should spin ur tires then gives you going sideway, see if that works, if not then i dont know, ask someone!

by going sideways i meant once it is completely sideways, or evend out, i have no conrtol to the drift, counter steer or gasor e brake nothin, it loks up and then eventually spins out. i dont know if its because it a 4wd

AWD drift requires less input. all you gotta do is modulate the gas a little...you aren't getting your entry angles right. if you use FR you can change the angle at any time during the drift. (awd can do this also if you set them up properly)

don't use VCD, don't use a limited slip. you have to use a slight feint motion just before the turn and set your angle, then you carry that same angle through the turn..this is for AWD only...also never use any ASM or TCS. set both to 0.

yes. from what i've seen cars drift much easier when you dont modify the limited slip OR vcd. try it and see...

Sorry, but this is bad advice. No VCD, and no LSD might work better for you, but that doesn't mean it works better for everyone, so in the future please try to phrase these types of things more like "I had better luck without VCD or LSD." Misinformation is my pet peve.

Anyway, I had better luck WITH the VCD and LSD. Try my settings on this page:

Also, LanEvo's other advice about how to execute the drift was good advice. A good AWD drift doesn't require countersteer at all once you're sideways. Just hold it there and give it the proper amount of gas and it will continue the drift until you countersteer slightly to exit.

On this front, I found the LSD to be not just helpful but essential for building a solid drifting platform. Again, that's just my style though.

o another thing,in the video gran dorifto, i was watching the rx7 infiniti[i think] and he was flying trough a drift, and rite be4 he slamed into the wall, he suddenly gripped, i have the same problem, i cant grip like in apricot hill first two turns that i love, rite in the middle id slam inside, or outsde, or at the end

this setup works great 4 me on my R32:
Sport Tires - Front
Normal Tires -Back
Spring Rate: 16/16 a lower spring rate could be better but i haven't ryed it yet
SB: 9/9
SRb: 8/8
Camber angle 2.0/1.0 but a 0.0/0.0 might be better
Stab.: 6/7
LS Initial: 5/60
LS Accel.: 60/5
LS Decel.: 60/45
ASM and TCS :0
VCD:10%
Semi-racing Tranny

Lol, i'm just wondering why you have a setup at all. AWD drifting is the most simplistic form of drifting in GT3. You don't need suspension mods, you don't need LSD mods, you don't need any of that.. You need about 300-450 Horsepower depending on the car , T2's and clutch/flywheel/driveshaft mods...Nothing more, I don't know why people stress the settings so much...It's very very very simplistic.

Driftster, that may be the case for you now, but I'm sure you didn't just jump in your first AWD car and start doing perfect drifts all of a sudden without tuning it at all. Tuning a car doesn't make it do things that were not possible before-hand (usually) but it will make the car respond differently to your input. A car's suspension is the only thing between your hands & feet, and the pavement. It's like choosing your club in golfing. Sure you can do everything you need to with a 5-iron, but the real pros use everything available to them.

Pergatory You couldn't be more wrong. That is EXACTLY what I did. I bought my FIRST AWD DRIFT CAR, gave it 325HP in upgrades, T2's and drivetrain mods. That's it...Nothing else , stock suspension, stock tranny, stock downforce..

up the HP, stock suspension ASM 0 TCS 0...
and you're good to go..You can drift any AWD car in the game with those "settings"..Just gotta have the propper HP for the car.

There is no 'formula' or secret recipe for drifting. Everyone has different styles and preferences for settings. Goodness knows a lot of people have told me my FC setup (posted in the drift guide) sucks. :) But I love it.

Just do your thing, don't worry about how everyone else does it. There are a million different ways.

Post a video of a perfect AWD drift and I'll believe you. It's foolish to assume the way you learned is the best way to learn, because you can only ever learn one way then you know how to do it and can't learn again. I'm not claiming I know the best way to learn, merely giving advice. You should do the same.

Did I say it was the best way at any point in time? No I did not, I simply said it's not that great to jump right into drifting with elaborate settings, otherwise when you go to drift a different car ,you mess with it untill it handles like the first one you started with, as apposed to addapting to each car. I would post a video, but not everyone has a TV card, or a Shark port, if everyone did there would be alot more video's on GTP

well i tried the settings, and it isnt great for gettin sidewys. it doe the turn like at a 40 degree angle, and if i use the ebrake theres too much stall during the turn, which wastes more speed on longer tuirns, but the long 5th turn, works fines wit driftster setings, just beacause i managed to hang on to the drift, but i personally i like sherons skyline settings.
