It seems a little less likely to drive into you in corners I've found. Whereas before the ai would stick to it's line even if you'd beaten it into the corner now it goes wide or backs off.
Also it tries to get the place back after you've overtaken it. It seemed before that as soon as you'd overtaken an ai driver it would back off and you'd pull away easily.

Thanks mate:tup: I noticed some little changes in their behaver like those you mentioned:)

Also go do a b spec race. Ive found my Bob's pull out and overtake rather than jam the brakes on when they catch someone:tup:

I certainly hope this is true, I've lost count of the amount of times my B-Spec guys have refused to overtake despite clear opportunities.

It is dumber! The AI habitually turns too early causing crashes and subsequently traffic jams; Bob, when told to overtake, will slow down, give it a thought or two and then ignore it.

He will also play more peek-a-boo sending his "stress" levels up which ends up either him ramming the car in front, slamming on the brakes and losing a place or two, or swerve too far left or right and find the wall or barrier and end up in last place.

Iv'e done a few races today and the AI does seem to be more aggressive, in the fr seasonals I used my RX7 which was already tuned and was 100 bhp more than the AI and I didn't win by as much as I would have done before the update, also they seem to be more grouped together like they are actually racing each other too and they do more to avoid hitting your car. I'm going to try an evenly matched car with them from now on so I can really tell the difference.

I have a feeling nothing changed and people only think things changed because of a new update. Just like when GT5 first came out people were saying how great the AI was and then a month later we all realized its terrible.

Before this update, I noticed that the AI won't let you bump draft them. In GT4, I sometimes felt sorry for slower AI in an event, so I would try to push one to the front, just to see if I could. In GT5, when you try to bump draft an AI, they move over and slow down. So if you want to pass an AI in a braking zone, just hit their bumper a couple of times on the straight and they'll pull over and hit the brakes. Wonder if they fixed that with this update?

They've transplanted a brain into Bob's head at last!!??? I might give this a go.

Same here. I didn´t try it yet. But there are so much people discovering any changes after the new patch....and just a few are true.

Some people are a bit too excited and overenthusiastic, when new patches come out.

Haha. Yeah, that was funny. "WOW they actually react to you now!" - "They don't drive like they're on rails!" - as some reviewers said. Then our copies arrived in the post, and we all played it. Certainly put those statements to bed.

Yeah I've noticed some differences, an AI overtook me on the outside twice, when I applied to much brake going round a corner. Haven't done much testing to see other big changes yet.

They seem more intelligent, also they try to pass each other, the avoidance system has improved after a ST170 swerved out of my 100mph powersliding way.

AI is a lot more tenacious, i've found that in just a few seasonal races. I also saw one overtake me on a corner and almost spin out, smoking the tyres, to stay ahead. They do seem to gang up a little and mug you too...overall it's a thumbs up from me 👍

for sure if you take a Veyron in the Kei car chalenge, you wont notice any changes

If the AI has become more intelligent, why do they keep losing it on the first turn of the last FR challenge seasonal event race?

But in all seriousness, I have noticed the AI has gotten a bit more aggressive, and they seem to be less afraid of driving off their racing lines. But there is still much room for improvement, and the differences are subtle; if they even exist at all.

The AI is still trash!! Even Seasonal Events are the most boring crap I can imagine. This is not racing. Any race where you go from 12th to 1st in 3 laps is pointless. The AI drive like robots and have no interaction with you whatsoever. A-Spec in any form is nothing more than a time trial with moving obstacles. I can't even get into the new F1 challenge. I have no desire to race against robots, at least there's a payout. And starting every race from either 12th or 5th with no pole position or time trials? No.

In the License tests, you can bump into them without getting Disqualified now.

They spin out more than I've ever seen before as well.

Not in one of the seasonal events uploaded earlier. Most cars kept skidding out.

Do they put the right tires on when starting a rainy event after a dry one ?

The AI... is.. beuatiful...
Seasonal @ Eifel 102B
The AI wern't perfect. I accually saw them smoke their tires in turns and even... SPIN OUT WITHOUT TAMPERING!
After I spun out, It was just my 02 RX-7 vs. a Orange NSX. Instead of the NSX pulling pack after I passed it, It competed with me. It never Pitted me,but it bumped me if I bumped it. We competed for 4 laps. It was wonderful.

After months of discontent, I can finally say with this AI update, GT5 is the most realistic AND best racing game EVER created :D

Il be honest with you iv not noticed much difference but before you think "oh no" hear me out...............I actually didnt think the AI were that bad in the first place!!!!! I rarely had any problems with the AI driving into me even before the update, honestly if i was in the inside they always gave me room when passing.

Now im well aware that people have had problems with the AI in this game and i hope the update has improved things for those that did but the AI as far as i can see still drive the same in my game........quite intelligently, if a little slow.

With the update in place i did a one make race at high speed ring in the dry with the 08 gt300 subaru, stock form with racing hards(same as AI) Won the race comfortably with a 9 second cushion(5 laps), i do think part of that was because they were squabbling so much with each other right enough, as on some laps they lapped within a second of me and in other were 3 seconds slower, but all in all i had to keep on my toes.

I then did the same race at high speed ring in changeable weather. Well here the AI were much quicker was still only in third after 3 laps when i quit..............Was actually testing to see if the alpha effects had been improved(they've not) so never finished the race.

P.S i have noticed the AI in b-spec to be improved, drivers are more aggressive, fight and pass each other

If you want to test the AI go to arcade mode and race stock for stock, Alot better now as i actually stayed in 16th place for a while...whilst chasing a Jaguar XKR in my Evo10..

And any body notice standard cars appear in arcade mode now? or have they always, When i was racing...i couldn't even tell a difference between the Standard yellow FC RX7 and the premium. until i went into replay mode....and still could barely tell.

Also i did a test, Pre update i took my fully tuned LM CLKGTR on gone with the wind(indy), Pre update i dusted them so bad i felt sorry... now fastforward to after update, i come shooting out of the turn at 212 (same as before)i not only have one car behind me, but i have like a hole pack fighting to get in front of me.. So i get 5/5 and soon as i think im in the clearing i look back and this minolta slingshots off the audi trailing behind me, And Screams past me and i lose....As i type im still grinding and this AI is so much faster, i love the way they over take each other.

And i have noticed, they are alot faster coming into turns, and out of turns.
