And since when did this turn into an Anti-Capitalist thread?
When people started realizing "Capitalism" is just the word that happens to describe how the consumer is screwed these days.
Just like "Free market economy" doesn't mean the best value wins, it means charge as much you can get the customer to pay regardless of actual value and remember people will pay almost and amount as long as the cost comes in bite sized chunks they can rationalize away.
Deve all your posts make me hungry.
There is something to be said about that... I just remember steak is on sale this week at my local grocer... time to stock up!
The bottom line is we all knew what we were getting before we bought it, PD released a track list and a car list, if you thought you should be getting more then you shouldn't have bought the game, quite simple really.
And I'd just like to add that I'll happily pay for any DLC that catches my eye, whatever the cost, with pleasure.
See Mig:
i didnt know if standard cars had cockpit or not... i searched only to find threads after threads of people saying yes AND no.
i didnt know gt5 had 5 year olds making the menu's
i didnt know we would have to go on and on with this ridiculous xp and money grinding
i didnt know b spec's prize money would be an absolute joke
i didnt know taking the license test's are pointless
can go on and on
the thing is they made this game and had a massive timeframe to do it and they still managed to give it a shiney paint job of 'midnight rush"
there is no way they should even be talking about DLC untill they fix the pile of 🤬 they left at our doorsteps
Truth is no one knew what they were getting and this is largely right on PDs shoulders. As I brought up before "lies of omission".
This wasn't helped by the fact there was a review embargo and reviewer copies were shipped out quite late.
Sorry n64doc, you just can't make the argument we knew what we were getting... if there is one thing you can safely say about GT5 and PD it's that they made it impossible to know almost anything for certain.
i can't believe that people are complaining that they might have to pay for standard to premium upgrade. Do you expect the workers at PD to do their job for free?
Of course they are going to cost something, they are are company its what companies do : make money.
As I said before, no, I expect to get my monies worth... the money I already paid.
That's not expecting free work, that's the opposite of free, it's pre paid work!
Hardly a convincing counter argument considering the compression ratio's you can squeeze into torrents, i've seen 30 gig Blu-ray movies compressed to 5 gig before.
You cannot compare compressing video to compressing data (to begin with lossy vs lossless make them two entirely different camps). There is a reason you can get a 4GB DVD to fit on a 700MB CDR but you will never see a 4GB DVD game zipped down to 700MB.
I am sorry but this is a case of you really shouldn't be talking because you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
