So PD.... where are our GT Academy cars?

Which PD said would be available after GTA 2012 had finished? I would have thought they would have been free DLC after GT5 had finished...

"The prizes will be distributed one week after all GT Academy 2012 events have ended, on or after July 4th. To add the items to your game, all you need to do is to start your copy of Gran Turismo 5."

I think you can still win them. Pretty sure you'll have till March 2013 to do it. That's when the GT Academy download expires.

You should be fine if you still have your game data and game save still on your hard drive.

I actually just improved one of my silvers to a gold . However, my rank did not improve amongst my friends. You'd think PD could figure out how to keep GTA and competing amongst your friends separate. Kinda like EA's Auto Log.

I started up GTA last night, and you can still do the events, you times just don't get posted on leaderboards. If you're lucky you may be able to still get the gold trophy for beating the game's trophy time. IDK though, I cleared them before it ended. Let us know if you're still able to get the trophies to get the cars. I'm interested to know.

Ahh, kool. so when you got the gold, did it tell you that you'll open the car now? Or have you not cleared the segment? As for friends ranks, that's why I went on last night. But it makes sense. Your ranks aren't based on you (me) and your friends. Those ranks are their ranks in the GTA event. And since the event's over................well, nuff' said I think.

When you clear the segment with all golds, post it here whether you get the car or not. Though I already assume you will.

PD will probably just give non-DLC owners the Leaf and GT-R anyway. Nothing was mentioned on their website about needing the DLC to access those cars, so to suddenly not give nearly half of the promised content would be a dick move.

Well, everyone, including those who didn't buy the DLC, already got a taste of what the DLC cars are like. Not to the full extent as with other cars, but they still got a chance to drive it nevertheless.

These new GT Academy cars are probably "separate" from their stock counterparts, so I'm going to guess that there is a huge chance that everyone will get all of the cars. Unless PD can implement some feature that detects whether you have the Nissan GT-R and Nissan LEAF DLC or not, and then locks you out of them if you don't have them. Which I'm sure they can.
