Some Seasonals removed! (See OP)

I loved the World Compact Car Championship, that's how I learned to control karts.

Not a massive player of GT5, but it is about the only game I do play. It was nice to load up and have a wide variety of seasonal races to choose from. I'd done about as many A-spec races as I'm going to do, preferred to scroll through the seasonals rather than scrolling through A-spec. (usually seasonals gave more credits ... its nicer to get 250,000 cr for a win than the lower amounts for the A-spec races (Would like to get the Ford Mark IV at some point!). Not mad or angry, but slightly annoyed that so many races have disappeared. Its never nice to loose stuff you thought you had, especially if you had no warning!

Its nice to have the car tickets, and I hope that content will continue to be added, in particular seasonals with nice highish payouts.

What I would really REALLY like, is to be able to create my own A-Spec/seasonal. And that the payout would be based on how easy/difficult the race. Ie start in first place, with PP vastly superior to the competition = very low payout. Start in last place, with PP equal to the competition = high payout. Wouldn't it be fun to be able to choose our favourite car, set it up to our preferred PP, and then select the circuit, starting position, number of laps, pick the competitors (some driven by our B-Spec drivers?) and their level ... I'd even pay for this as a DLC pack ... would you?

I'm perfectly fine with the seasonals removed.
It surprized me that they where on as long as they were.

The first seasonals stayed on for 2weeks.
That is exactly what I'd expect from seasonal events...

I think eventually the list will grow again, untill the next major update..

It's nice to know someone is fine with this. It is unfortunate for all the people who enjoyed repeating the events.

There are 1000 cars in this game but it is often difficult to find a competitive race for many of them. But as you said, if we want more races then the solution is to buy a different game.

Polyphony Digital, BRING BACK THE MISSING SEASONAL EVENTS! Why are they so keen to remove content!!? It's like the classic tracks everyone loves that they dropped from previous GT games and didn't bother to recreate them for their precious GT5! The game should evolve and expand, that means keeping content and adding variety.

I would like to add...they took away some of the more recent seasonals. So its not just old ones. Either way, very lame. I guess I'm off grinding b spec now.

lol, I'm okay with it! It seems the seasonal gives us access to all the tracks even the dlc ones for free whether or not you purchased it. If seasonal was forever then anyone that bought the dlc would be suckers.

I'm having fun racing on the new kart track and may actually purchase it.

Don't see what that has to do with anything.

The seasonal at the end of the list, Super GT, has been around since June, yet more recent events such as Super Car Nostalgia (September) and DTM (August) were removed.

If you're trying to follow some sort of seasonal period, why would you delete the more recent events? It makes no sense at all.

Seasonal means it only available for a period of time. Some are longer than others. These Events were never permanent, although it did seem like it was for some of them. But they were gonna go away sometime down the road.

For me it's not about the opportunity for grinding, it's that i'd really come to enjoy driving these events as an alternative the frankly lackluster default A-spec events. British Lightweights at Cote d'Azur & 'Ring, Supercar Nostalgia, World Classic Car series were all really fun to do and attempt with all kinds of unlikely contenders. What i suspect and hope might happen is that these events will return as a kind of second tier to the existing A-spec races, considering they're all (i think?) counterparts to events that existed in A-spec from the beginning. Maybe.
