Can I ask why? Is it a pride thing? What about that situation is so bad?

The day I got the game I was a better driver than at least 50% of those out there... had I magically gotten every car and gone online no one would have been the worse off for it.

Maybe that's not the case with him, but it does kind of point out how that's not a good blanket statement to make.

sure you can ask why.

Some what of a pride thing. Pride of ownership, pride of legitimate completion, etc. etc...

Glad to hear that you where better than 50%, I could argue I was as well. Sorta irrelevant at this point. However, depends on how you interpret and define newbie driver. Ill leave the rest up to you.

Situation is bad for the following reasons:

1. glitch rooms plague the servers
2. A lot of the driver that I know and used to enjoy playing with have stopped playing because of glitchers
3. its morally wrong
4. I bought the game to compete online and it is suffering as a result of the glitch

This. Its just not in the GT spirit to use glitchs. Shift 2 will be out soon and all the kids will run along and try and finish that within a week anyway.

If I remember its a little over 1million(1st) and 350k (2nd) approx

Thank's, though my mate and I did several races last night and found that no matter what, 1st will always recieve 1,085, 000cr and 2nd will get several 100,000cr depending on the amount of laps they complete(The highest we managed was 700+k for 200Laps).
So I think if your going to do this with a mate atleast give them the curtousy to only be a few laps behind you so that when the race is over in the VERY short period of time it is, that they finish all their laps by the time the counter counts the game out.
My mate and I have pretty much got the timing right so this happens all the time.
Also, a rubber band on the analog stick and to the bottom right handle of the controller does the trick for a nice cruise/donut controll ;)

So where is PD's pride of ownership? Is this not their product first and foremost? Why the jacked xp/credit system? What are seasonal events if not an XP/credit band-aid?

1. I've had no issues creating and joining non-glitch lobbies for the past week.
2. A lot of drivers I know and race with were prepared to give up on GT5's jacked leveling system BEFORE the glitch.
3. Is it morally wrong to accept money for an unfinished product?
4. With cash available to all, more cars are available to folks to race online, certainly this variety of cars INCREASES competition online.

Wasn't the level system jacked before anyway? I mean how is this any different than grinding for XP or credits? The level system has now officially been rendered useless, but wasn't it useless before? Game completion and trophy percentage remain intact do they not? If any part is jacked it's the access to unlimited funds for cars, but the majority of us were jacked on this front from the beginning when PD failed to get cash moving in substantial values as you leveled up. 60 gold licenses tests is still intact, all gold on Vettel challenge is still good. We still have to actually run 24hr races without a cheat (a-spec.) The painful part is admitting those that just bought the game are probably in for a better experience with GT5 than the rest of us have had since release.

If we didn't have the glitch, wouldn't folks have just started borrowing cars they couldn't afford from friends to move quickly through the ranks? Would we curse that too? Yes the glitch is an "all at once" leveler, but it levels a field that was tilted the wrong way to begin with.

The leveling system was only jacked to those who felt they needed to complete the game sooner than others. (I think it is important to note that many people have done so legitimately, so is it really ``jacked`? and what does ``Jacked`` mean to you anyway).

About the folks moving through the ranks bit and cursing them. I really do not have an answer to that, it did not happen so how would we really know.

At the end of the day I feel that people know its morally wrong, yet try legitimize the situation with what they believe to be faults in the game. I agree with the 24 hour endurance races being a bit much, however, it is going to be rectified. I think a good analogy to this whole situation would be comparing it to real life. Its long and laborious at times and people often seek short cuts ( myself included), yet we continue to glorify the perception of attaining material goods, yet once we get there ( if we get there ) we realize it wasnt all that it was cracked up to be ( yet nice none the less ), and then it is on to the next fad.

My own opinion.

I will agree to dis agree with some of your points.

Depends on you define an unfinished game. Is it one that you can not complete legitimately in a relatively short period of time??

and what does ``jacked`` mean specifically anyway?

This glitch was programmed into the game but not for the reason to do donuts to make money. Have a look at all the bits of road that seem to be there for no reason (way off where the real track is). Go for a drive on them and if you do it right you will be pleasantly surprised with what you find. I’ve showed a few guys but I'm not giving any thing away on here but i guess as soon as more people find it someone will post it here, enjoy.

What is the "GT Spirit" exactly? Is it an antiquated progression scheme requiring you run the same races over and over again ad nauseum? The GT franchise appears to have created it's very own term for mindless gaming - GRINDING. I am willing to bet that just based on the frequency of use here in these forums, it's use would be listed no less than second in the Websters Dictionary. They should list that as a feature on the box. It's odd that other racing titles have chosen not to copy that particular "feature", or is it? Yes Shift 2 will be out soon, and after that Forza 4, both poised to claim the crown from our dying king of "real driving simulators." The fact is, the glitch might just save the king and all his old stubborn ways. Perhaps a little less "GT Spirit" is needed for GT6. I say, raise the credit limit from 20M to 100M, close the glitch in a week and raise credits and XP 10X across the board!!!! Or just leave the glitch open.

i would love to know more about this. please PM me some more info and details please.

Unfinished- Features and functions which do not work at release, "sub" standard car models, and all the bug fixes and tweaks which have been cloaked as "updates" when we all know they just couldn't finish the coding before Xmas.

Jacked XP/credit system- meaning the longer the race, the less Credit and XP you receive per lap (sans the grind-o-matic favs.)

Why do I do donuts underneath the bridge???

1. The XP schedule for level promotion is ridiculously steep. You all realize that at level 34 you're only half way to 40 in terms of XP points, right?
2. The credit schedule is ridiculously flat if not regressive, the longer the race the less you earn per lap- with the few exceptions which were used to grind.
3. Truly competitve racing is only available online, the AI blows as it always has in GT games.

Think of it this way, the glitch is simply accelerated grinding, and in my case a welcome release from pondering, which race am I gonna rerun next for an insulting payout? All of you clinging to the a spec level system as some kind of progress scale can join the rest of us that gave up on it months ago. At least we can all agree now, it is absolutely broken.

I'd go a step further, PD should leave the glitch open, and remove the limit on how many credits you can have, or increase it to $100M. If PD allowed more cash to flow, we'd all have more cars, and upgrades so we can explore the real value (IMO) of the game- online racing. If PD patches the glitch, they should TRIPLE the payouts on sprint races, and up the endurance race payouts 10X.

Many of you may curse the glitch, but for many of us (check the number of online lobbies running SS7 races), the glitch saved us from serious boredom.

Prime example- Ferrari Seasonal Events- requires the purchase of a 10m OR 12.5m f1 car. Collective payout for all events- just UNDER 1M. You can't even get your investment back on the car purchase, and as these cars are limited in which events you can use them, you'd have to run the seasonal events 10X just to break even- thats 50 races and a total of 500 laps!!!

A lot of us have stopped at early 30,s Aspec due to the sheer boredom of having to re race just to get a decent xp climb.

Till the game save for "endurance" comes in i am waiting to see just what happends in the next patch.

We waited 5 years for this game and paid for that reason, but now it all seems to have gone wrong with the large XP needed from level to level 30-40.

The bonus races have changed from 2 weeks to 4 weeks now, so does that mean they are working on "other things" for us to enjoy?

Time will tell..............................................................................

I really don't see what peoples problem is with gaining money and xp quickly.

Obviously it would be much better if the levelig system, prizes were matched better to the huge costs in buying cars and tuning them.

But the thing is, racing online will always be far more competitive and rewarding as well as just more interesting as we get to chat and have some fun with friends rather than racing by ourselves ageing AI.

By having silly amounts of money, everybody gets to get more cars and tune them to increase variety, competition etc online and everybody is a winner then really :)

Doesn't matter if some people have the game 3 days and only level 40 as spent 3 days buying a GTR and doing raced in SSR7.
It still doesn't mean they will have an advantage over others online as they still may not be a good racer.

For those that have want to spend the time/years to get all the cars and level upto 40 they can still do it and when they race online, they can still set limits on car choice etc to rule put people with loads of multi-million priced cars.

For the rest of us who have got through 90+ precent of the game legitimately and now just want to get on with collecting all the cars, tuning and racing them to enjoy the game the glitch is very useful.

If it wasn't for being able to get a new lease of interest in the game to get more cars and tune them for online I could see more people gettin bored of GT5 too which is a loss then as we have less friends to race/drift etc online with.

Finally, my PS3 will last alot longer too when I can make 20 million in an hour rather than leaving it on all day doing B-spec or grinding A-spec.

At least after an hour of SSR7, I can go and have some real fun online tuning new cars I just bought, racing or drifting with friends or have more time lapping the GT TT

Could you also Pm me this secret too?
My friend and I are going on a little mission tonight to unfold all the Out-Of-Map glitches in the game, namely the TGTT one (which I still don't know how it's done).

I call BS on that.
Name them all cause I want a list of people like you who are too immature to cope with seeing their epenis's being deflated.

lol.....learn how to race!!! so you can do this to.
they are not gonna ban people because of bad made racing games.

grow up!!..go to school and do what your parents tell you to do,...maybe you learn something.

I see you want people to go to school. That's admirable. I go to school and work full time, so I definitely see the value. Now, pardon me while I put my education to work and edit your comment.

Learn how to race so that you may be able to do this, too. They are not going to ban people because of glitches discovered and exploited by the community after the game was released.

You should stop being so immature. Try to get an education and do what your parents tell you to do. Maybe you will be able to learn something.

I can see where the expression "trying to polish a turd" comes from. :dunce:

I like the part where everyone says the online is spammed to death with glitch rooms. When I go on, I see about 2-3. Guess what I do? Simply ignore them.

Guess what you can do? Ignore them too! No wayyyyy, I know!

Couldn't find a racing server today without it being a packed SSR7 server. Everything else were empty except for a few full drift servers.

Such a shame.

Stop sorting by SS7 tracks only. ;)

There is something called: "Your room"

Perhaps it'll get some attention if I named it "$$$ Super EXP/CASH $$$" and placed it on SSR7. 👍

Perhaps it would get more notice if the game wasn't so broken that people were eager to get around the poor payout and leveling system that is restricting their fun?

Don't hate the players, hate the game ;)

Servitude is shameful. Rise up and fight the imperial regime by doing donuts under the SS7 bridge! Fair pay for fair play I say!!!

It wouldn't do me any good, I am lvl 40 A-Spec and 20mill rich, all done without doing vomit circles. ^_^

This game has became such a joke... It serves them right for trying to had value for money to the game through õut the grinding instead of adding more events (like GT4 did after GT3) they did the opposite and they came up with a lazy idea to make people do the same stuff over and over again just to progress in the game...

Im not playing it anymore after they ruining the duping (wich should never have started in the first place if this was a proper enjoyable game) and I refuse to spend any time of my life doing donuts for credits...

I really cant play anymore - I only have two more 24 hour races to do in the game and Im not the only one to use the PS3 in the house... so its over for me...

But I still get my kicks (until Shift comes out) reading whats happening with the players that continue to play the game....
