It wouldn't do me any good, I am lvl 40 A-Spec and 20mill rich, all done without doing vomit circles. ^_^

But do you have every car completely hooked up in the game?? Ah hah

Having every car in the game doesn't make me a greater driver. There's only 40 ot in my favorites, half of which I actually drive a lot. XD

This game has became such a joke... It serves them right for trying to had value for money to the game through õut the grinding instead of adding more events (like GT4 did after GT3) they did the opposite and they came up with a lazy idea to make people do the same stuff over and over again just to progress in the game...

Im not playing it anymore after they ruining the duping (wich should never have started in the first place if this was a proper enjoyable game) and I refuse to spend any time of my life doing donuts for credits...

I really cant play anymore - I only have two more 24 hour races to do in the game and Im not the only one to use the PS3 in the house... so its over for me...

But I still get my kicks (until Shift comes out) reading whats happening with the players that continue to play the game....

You're not alone man. I know how you feel. Playing the three games in my sig for the time being until GT5 gets better.

After doing doughnuts for a while, I decided to just give up even though I said earlier I would do this until level 40. It's not worth it IMO. A lot less people would have to resort to these methods if this game were designed better.

Finally hit L40 A-spec this morning, with the RM ZR1 'Vette at American Championship Indy. Expected a little more fanfare, honestly, having hit L40 A- and B-spec after several months of playing every single day. I got a trophy ("Excellent Driver"). That's it.

Meh.

Quoth Marge Simpson: "Thank God that's over!"

Perhaps it would get more notice if the game wasn't so broken that people were eager to get around the poor payout and leveling system that is restricting their fun?

Don't hate the players, hate the game ;)

👍👍👍

lol'd

^^^^truth of the matter. 👍

Could you also Pm me this secret too?
My friend and I are going on a little mission tonight to unfold all the Out-Of-Map glitches in the game, namely the TGTT one (which I still don't know how it's done).

would LOVE to know more about what you and anyone else has found in this game like that

I tryed this last night and in my opinion it is stupid, i left the room for racing again...

So, do you play nice and share the payout by circling slowly, or nuts to everyone and donut to victory?

Nice!? Nice is for suckers!
Seeing as I no longer have the time to invest in any game like I did in the days of GT4, last night I donuted my way to 30 million and a fair chunk of XP... and I feel absolutely no remorse. In fact, I'm gonna do it till it's patched. Grinding is a part of every GT game, and I've done my share throughout the years. I want to enjoy the time I have to spend playing this game with the cars I want to drive... in the end this glitch will make the game more enjoyable for me.

IF I mange to hook the donuts up I'll do them to 195 then wait for everyone to get within 10 laps or so before finishing

yup, thats how NICE people roll, we can win but we dont have to screw the rest to do it :D

IF I mange to hook the donuts up I'll do them to 195 then wait for everyone to get within 10 laps or so before finishing

I bet most folks(running the glitch) are like me, just want to level up to 40 and fill their gargage with what they prefer rather than what one can afford to earn. That allows you to enjoy the future of the game without grinding or other stupidity. And to tell you the truth, I find the race to win the glitch just as exciting as any other race.

Did anyone do the math on this yet? I mean if you finsih fast and everyone gets a lower payout BUT they get that payout way faster doesn't that work out the same in the end?

I don't know why some of you continue to argue over this? Cheating and not cheating, fair and unfair.....it's all relative. You want to talk about unfair? How about government workers getting pensions from my taxes! Why do I have to pay for their pensions? I've had to save money for my retirement the normal way.....
So shuuut the hell up! I'm getting all the cars that I want using any method that is given to me.

If you dont like it, patch the glitch!

Some of you are morons.....

Not sure about the math, but it's polite when you're not hosting, I think :)

Is it polite or is it just wasting time?

I mean if waiting gets people 2 mill in 15 minutes but just getting it done gets people 1 mill in 7 minutes... what's polite about it? Just seems like a time waste if the math works.

I mean it's polite if people are enjoying themselves and the activity but I was under the impression this isn't something people do for the enjoyment of driving circles but just to get money and get done...

I went in a few "no donuts" rooms today, waited till 100 laps then donutted my way to victory every time, obviously most hosts were mad but I played dumb "sorry I didn't realise". All the hosts kicked me apart from 1 idiot who let me get away with it twice.

Very successful evening.

I kinda agree to be honest.

To be hones though... I just think people should just learn to do bloody donuts!
I thought the rooms tonight with "Donuts=kick" and "no donuts" were hilarious.

In a room now making a steady 2million every 7 minutes in 2nd place behind the host :)

^I agree.

I joined 2 rooms yesterday where the host jumped out of the race towards the end and kicked everyone in the room one by one. What is wrong with people!?!

I done that once and got a monstrous 3,619 cr. in an ultra quick 22 minutes.

When did this glitch start?

A week after I grinded the hard way to 40 A-Spec. *Cough*Five 24H Le Mans Races*Cough*

Maybe if some of you guys would help us out we could figure it out. But the majority of online are..........

I cant for the life of me get my GTR to do perfect donuts without slowly drifting to the right/left. My R390 road car though I can.

Thats harsh.. i didnt even start them yet and you've done em multiple times :S

Once you learn the donuts and join a no donut room its so slow, i got board after 30 laps (20 laps behind ) and decided to leave and find a donut room, so i turn to donuts and the host who was leading at the time jumped out and kicked me, lol you loose and i got out like i wanted.. A m8 got his donuts working last night and did the hole thing in 6 mins, i just got mine goin when race finnished. its possable to get 1.08 sec laps consistently once car is set up properly, i getting 1.5's but will tune tonight and will be getting 1.1's

How to: Grind Special Stage Route 7 for extremely high Cr. and EXP

IMG_1091.jpg

So, many people don't seem to exactly know how to grind properly on Special Stage Route 7. I do. So here's a full tutorial/how to. Do it quick, because Polyphony Digital will probably patch the glitch in the upcoming patch (thought to come 17/03/2011).

STEP 1, Preparation:

Get yourself a stock (or tuned, you will have to tune the car differently, I recommend and will be handlig a stock GTR) GTR. Any GTR, they all work. Even the free GT Academy version. "Black Mask", etc. Or if the room is set to the GTR '07, choose that.

STEP 2, Setting up room/Joining room:

Go to 'Open Lounge'. Either 'Create New' room or join any other almost full room (the more players, the more Cr./EXP). If you are creating a new one, continue to STEP 3, if not, continue to STEP 4.

STEP 3, Setting up room:

Creating a new room? Read on. Follow these EXACT setting for a flawless game;

- Give it a catchy name
- Max. participants of 16
- Special Stage Route 7, obviously
- Select "Create"

In 'Track Settings' set the following:

- Owner chooses
- Special Stage Route 7 / Change Weather
- Fix rainy weather (more Cr./EXP)

In 'Event Settings' set the following:

- 200 Laps
- Strong penalty (this makes the car untouchable when doing donuts)
- No mechanical damage
- Tyre/Fuel depletion off

In 'Regulation Settings' set the following:

- Either 'Open Garage' or 'Select from Garage'
- If choosing 'Open Garage', obviously choose the GTR '07
- Traction Control System OFF

STEP 4, Setting up the GTR:

If you are using a stock GTR '07, use the following 'Driving Options':

- Manual transmission
- Front and rear 'Sports Hard' tyres
- Turn all driving aids off
- Leave ABS on 1 if you want, doesn't matter

STEP 5, The glitch:

Race time! Ok, here's what you do:

- Obviously select 'Go to Track'
- 'Start Race' if you're room owner or select 'Free Run' if you just joined in

When the timer times out, get to the first "checkpoint", which is the first 180° at the end of the first straight, here:

Once you are there, look out for the other players, it's like WWIII there. Everybody wants to be first, take your time. Anyway, look for the white barrier, you can approach it from both sides.

The easiest way is to use the roof camera. You will have a complete overview this way.

Drive your GTR parallel against the wall. Once your front left of right panel has passed the end, turn in. You will see that the car will begin to merge into the wall. At this point you may give full throttle untill you are in, between the two barriers. Keep going straight on untill your road splits, here:

IMG_1092_GoRight.jpg

Sometimes the game pushed you out, but 9/10 times it works fine. If not, retry.

As the red paint arrow says, take the right road. Then go straight on untill you pass between a black box and the right side barrier. Don't worry, just go straight on between the black box and the right barrier into "the open world":

IMG_1094_GoInBetween.jpg

Once in "the open world", turn right, and follow the track down (don't fall onto the "real" track otherwise you will have to do the wall-glitch all over again) untill you reach the white bridge.

Follow this route:

STEP 6, Preperation of the donuts:

Once in between two white towers of the bridge, look for the starting line:

IMG_1097_NearFinishLine.jpg

The perimeter of the finish line is indecated by the two red circles, inside the red circles are TV's or something. I don't know. But they stick out very well.

Once near there - still underneath the track - do the following:

- Press start
- Select 'Quick Options'
- Change 'Track Map Display Mode' to "Fix to Track"
- Change 'Course Map Scale' to "1":

IMG_1098.jpg

Once you have one that, you will see the course map on your left top:

IMG_1099_DonutStartAndMagicSpot.jpg

The location of the GTR (red arrow) in the above picture is also the ideal position when you want to start the donut. The red dot is the "magic spot" (where you gain lap after lap in approximately 1,5 second per "lap").

As you can see, the "magic spot" is pretty far off to your right, but that's beause the GTR is 4WD. It won't start it's donut on the spot, like a rear wheel drive car. Don't worry.

STEP 7, The donuts!:

This is it, the time for donuts and lap after lap grinding. When done correctly, you should beable to complete 200 laps in under 10 minutes.

This what you do:

- Press and hold the brake
- Full throttle whilst braking
- Steer ALL the way to the right
- Once all is done, release ONLY the brake. Don't ever touch this again in the same donut
- Once the car is spinning in circles, it should come out somewhere near the "magic spot"

This is the tricky part, when your red arrow - on the track map - is pointing towards the "magic spot" (during the donut) let go of your left analog stick for a fraction of a second and fully turn your GTR to the right again. When done a few times correctly, your GTR will follow a path towards the "magic spot" whilst still doing donuts!

When you finally arrive at the spot (this will take some practise) keep holding your throttle and the snalog stick to the right for 200 "laps". Or simply use some elastic bands like I did:

IMG_1100.jpg

If you are using elastic bands, sit back, and relax, the GTR will NOT move an inch when doing donuts due to it's clever 4WD system.

If you're as lucky as me, the room will have 16 poeple, and you will finish first each time. You will get approximately Cr. 3,400,000 (million) and 1,100,000 (million) EXP.

I went from level 32 to level 40 in just two night of hardcore grinding.

Any questions? Feel free to ask!

Good luck!
