Cool, Dhani Jones is moving up in the world. It would be cool if GT Academy is on FS1
Alms.com says FS2 right now.Outside of Grand-Am, I am a bit curious to see how Petit Le Mans will be covered. That is, if it will be on FS1 or FS2.
Calling Fox1 a contender might be a stretch. The highest rated show on FS1 the week of Aug 26-Sept 2 was a UFC fight that drew a .5 rating,824k HH.That rating would be 40th on ESPN for that week behind poker.ESPN 2's top show had a 1.1 share with 1,886 hh and ESPNU's best was a .5-922k.The final live televised Grand-Am race ever was this past weekend. That is... unless you get FOX Sports 2 to see the 2013 Grand-Am season finale at Lime Rock later this month. FS2 is supposed to air that event live. This is completely off-topic... yesterday, it was CBS Sports Network that aired coverage of the FIA World Touring Car Championship races at Sonoma Raceway. It made me think about when SPEED Channel would air the WTCC action once NASCAR was done for the season. I think Bob Varsha or somebody said it best during the final installment of Wind Tunnel With Dave Despain- (indirect quote) "racing will live on, but how it is covered will not." Or something like that. Next week on Tuesday will be one month since Speed Channel- for all intents and purposes went from a motorsports TV network to an almost worthless blog, while what used to be SPEED Channel is now an ESPN contender. Got to love today's television world...
Only way I know of, outside of streams, is to pay for it from the V8 Supercar site (I think).
They don't do the youtube streaming anymore.
What a bloody joke. This is just another example of what seems like SPEED being condemned, almost like its identity and everything about it constantly gets denied and never to be discussed ever again. Life goes on, but basically... it's still not the same anymore.
EDIT: That said, I DO see your point. Fox basically made SPEED what it was. A mess. And now that they're done with it and the soiling is wholly complete, they're pretending it never existed. Ironic.
My god, speed is a mess in Canada.... All we get now are old re runs of crap speed shows like hard parts, faster than a redneck, pinks, living the low life..... Horrible.....
As long as it's NASCAR it still has a chance on the new Fox Sports 1 and 2. As for the rest, I fear for it. It was a huge pain in the ass following the Petit Le Mans today, but well worth it. I wonder how USCR's coverage will fare next year, especially in the endurance races. That and V8 Supercars, which has been relegated to Fox Sports 2, and no reairs. I'm scared it won't be long until we won't be seeing them anymore, and they were just beginning to make a foothold here in the US!
Unfortunately, NASCAR (racing in general) has been on FS2 and not FS1. FS2 is not part of a general package like ESPN2 is.NASCAR will be on FS1 for the next 11 years at the very least, the Truck series is constantly growing in popularity and ratings, and at the end of the day David Hill won't forget what got him to where he is today (Chairman and CEO of FOX Sports, starting out as FOX director of NASCAR in 2001)

I'm in exactly the same boat.Too damn bad that not everyone gets FOX Sports 2. My parents' Dish doesn't include NBC Sports Network, and I'm really missing racing there.
