:odd:
Explain, please.

Hmm, I really like this new Ferrari its intersting looking and whats with the shortned MPV MazKiD?

Actually I think it's a photoshop, there's a line where it looks like they shortened it, if it was truely a shortened MPV, Mazda wouldn't have left anything that obvious.
Also the rear bumper side looks faked, it appears to be metal, yet I'm most sure that under the MPV bumper it's just a support and not an extention of the body metal.
Some other odd things:
The door handles should be level with eachother, not the rear one higher, and the body crease above the handles is straight, does not curve up.
The wheels appear to be 4 lug, MPVs are all 5.
The hood line. Looks completely photoshopped. The MPV used would have been a 1st gen series 2('94-98), which featured a longer front, however the whole thing was sloped down from the windshield, not flat. Also that part of the pic looks blurry...
Here's a real MPV:

Isn't that the original Aztek? The Rendezvous comment would seem to support this, as well as the date.

Yes. The spy shots are weak, but most people don't know that Pontiac actually tried to restyle the Aztek in the cheapest way possible after just one model year. The Aztek was released in 2001, by far its most popular model year (people bought in 2001 but once the magazine reports began to come out saying it was ugly, the stopped buying, proving once again that car buyers have no idea how to think for themselves when it comes to styling). In 2002, the "restyle" to the Aztek was simply removing the gray cladding at the bottom and changing the wheels; in my opinion it helped a lot but still didn't address the major problem, the front end. Either way, Aztek dies in 2005.

Left = 2001 Aztek; right = 2002-present Aztek

Oh lordy lord! THAT is what a Pontiac Aztek looks like. That is the most appalling piece of automotive 'design' I have ever laid eyes on. Roll on 2005. Take it away!

Wasn't the cladding-less model first released as a "GT" package or something similar?

Nah - though the Aztek was sold in 2001 as a base and a GT model. The GT was a bit different (16" alloy wheels instead of 15" wheels did a bit for the styling) and was better-equipped, but I'm pretty sure it was still cladded. In 2002, pleading for sales, they dropped trim levels and cladding.

Hm. Could've sworn I'd read it in AutoWeek. Oh well.

16" Rims a bit small for an SUV?
