Which region would you like to see Standard cars getting the Premium treatment?

From what I read it's will happen in the future to some cars which means who knows when and how many it will be... also makes no mention of free or not.

Honestly, so much of what comes from PD recently either just doens't happen or managed to be done in such a weird and unforseable way that I will have to wait to see what's actually happens before getting too interested.

I could see almost anything all the way from paid DLC that only upgrades your car model for arcade mode for 1 or 2 cars a year all the way to every standard car upgraded across the game for free all at once. There is just no knowing with PD, however their recent track record makes me feel it will be more the former than the latter.

E36 or E46 M3s inline 6 has the most awesome sound! On these particular cars the real car sound is much better.
 
The obvious one that comes to mind is the Formula GT car. It's a mystery that they decided to make these cars only purchasable as used cars and to make them standards. It's only one car model and racing in the FGT championship is supposed to be a special treat for people who get far in the game. The FGT series in GT5 is a bit of a letdown with just 6 races and standard cars (and you cannot use F1 cars).

A zonda just came into my used dealership and I did not buy it BECAUSE it was standard.
 
It would be gut busting hilarious if they premium all the skylines.
 
I just want to be able to re-paint standard cars, especially my FGT!! Yellow??!! Yes.
 
What's strange (and an easy fix) is how some trims/years of a car will be premium, some will be standard, even though they look identical in some cases, or at the most would take a couple very small changes. For example, the Miatas (way too many of these, only a few premiums), the MKIII Supra (the turbo engine is premium, TT engine is standard), the RX7, Skylines, etc...
 
i would be happy if they just made standard cars have premium cockpits thats it. maybe they can premium the cockpits first and release them then premium the body. i know alot of you wont like this

Actually the FGT is probably the car that suffers from the lack of cockpit view the least. The "nose view" it has isn't as far from what the cockpit view would be as any car with an enclosed cockpit.
 
This is great news! But it does leave me with a few questions
How many cars will be upgraded?
Will the cars we already have be upgraded?
Will there be new cars (Such as the Honda HSV) along with the updates?
and finally, Will this be a reoccurring thing? Like 4 or 5 cars a month?

...oh well I guess all we can really do is wait.

Some seem to think that if the premium cars don't come from their home country they aren't good.

You know, pretty much on the line of "Yamauchi is evil! He gimped american cars on purpose!"
 
The Formula GT would be real cool in premium
 
Am I the only the feels like certain standard cars were meant to be premium but they just did not finish the interiors in time, so the made them standard. I feel this for the Veyron, R8LMS, Furai and XF.

I may be getting confused here, but you can paint standard cars can't you? You cant paint or change the wheels, but body colour is do-able. :indiff:

Other than special standards that is, like Lupo GTI Cup Car and stuff with racing decals.

Nope, you can't paint the Formula GT, or the Minolta, etc. Not cool.
 
Some of the standard cars will never become premiums, because they are modelled from scale models, the supra rz is a scale model 100% because it isnt accurate as a real car. Smart PD modeling scale models, or maybe they use the 2d blueprints for some cars also. One thing is certain, they haven scanned 1000 real cars, not from the beggining eather, and they will never do that.

Lol. What a load of crap. American cars just aren't that populair as the Japanese... Simple fact. I would really really realli like to see the classic muscle cars premium though.

Dodge Charger etc. What a beauty.

But isn't that because they are specific racing cars with specific designs, not just bog standard road cars.

It still doesn't make sense, IMO. Why wouldn't you be able to paint any car you owned, for any reason? Lol.
 
[old cliche rant]What i find is that they should get rid of the standard models when there are premium models of that type of car in my honest opinion, even if the standard is a different version of that car engine wise. Use the space of those models and have other models get a proper refurbish to Premium.[/old cliche rant]

Actually, why dont use scale models, and then detail them more thru modelling programs, its a really good idea. In that case they dont have to search for real cars. Only problem is interior...but some scale models have really nice interiors aswell.
