Standard cars to receive Premium treatment.

Not really.

PD used for modeling Premium cars a mixture of photoshoots, blueprints from manufacturers, and scale models (mainly from Autoart). Probably some of the older standard cars were modeled exclusively from scale models, but it's known that scale models are extensively used in their workflow. Don't think at "toy" grade scale models; but rather at the expensive (but still less expensive than organizing a photoshoot for each car) and detailed "collector" ones that can get very detailed and accurate.

Nope, you can't paint the Formula GT, or the Minolta, etc. Not cool.

You can't paint ANY of the dedicated racing models. Standard or Premium.

My Predictions for Standard - Premium Cars:

1. Jaguar XFR - completely new to the series, odd that it's Standard
2. Mazda Furai - Highly detailed for a standard car
3. Bugatti Veyron
4. Lamborghini Countach (both versions)
5. Audi R8 LMS

That's all I can think of at the moment.

I am excited about this. I can't wait to see just how many Standard cars are upgraded. And, if some standards are being turned to premiums, the remaining ones should get a graphical update.

Cars I'd love to see premium:
Spyker C8 Laviolette - Exposed Gear linkage, airplane inspired interior...seriously, this car has the best interior ever. I would love to see it in GT5 detail. And, when doing this, they could make it a Mid-engine car...finally.

Jaguar XJ220. Fun car. Would love to see in in Premium detail.

Mopars - These are just fun cars and it would be great to take close up shots of them.

All Muscle cars - YEAH BABY! It'd also make them easier to find.

Trucks/SUVs - I'd love to get behind the wheel of these, and with the premium damage, they could be really fun.

[old cliche rant]What i find is that they should get rid of the standard models when there are premium models of that type of car in my honest opinion, even if the standard is a different version of that car engine wise. Use the space of those models and have other models get a proper refurbish to Premium.[/old cliche rant]

Yarly, the Ferrari 330-P4 was seen as a die cast in their offices longggg time ago, a proper die cast costing upwards of 200$ US is completely accurate down to the most minute details, including proportions.

As SHIRAKAWA Akira said, they did. Quite alot too. They even used Exoto models. Which are VERY detailed. Have you never seen Polyphony's behind the scenes photo's?

You can paint standard cars. I do it all the time. You can not paint race cars.

All of the historic racing cars should be premium (including the modern day race cars.) It makes me sad when I see some of the Series Winning cars with poorly rendered skins.

Actually the Poll question does sound ambiguous but what i meant was, Which region of car manufacturers would you like to see Standards upgraded to Premiums?

Obviously everyone worldwide will get the same upgrades, i didnt mean which part of the world should get the cars.
