Honda NSX-R Concept '01 had a CF bonnet didn't it?
Yep that too! But unlike the Trueno S. Shigeno, it can be painted on all it's glory and keep the carbon parts... Looks astonishing in metallic blue =)

It's Wikipedia, so it's possible it's not correct, but - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_BellettTo the best of my knowledge you can't put a carbon hood on any standard model...although some standards do come with a carbon hood:
Isuzu Bellet 1600 GT-R!
Nissan BNR34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (Don't quote me).
Thats the only 2 I know of personally...I'm sure there is more out there though.

The GT-R, more specifically GT Type-R (for "racing"), was a racing version of the GT, also available to individual customers. First presented in September 1969, the GT-R featured a 1.6 L DOHC engine from the 117 Coupe, power brakes and numerous other modifications. It was visually different from other Belletts primarily by a specific paint scheme, which included a completely black hood.
No, there are not.
This wont happen next update because it would require lots and lots of texturing for each car (due to the pattern of the carbon) which will take way too much time.
JaySin85Ae86 just looks black, I don't know that it's carbon.
Lot of texturing for each car? Take a look here:

http://ebin.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/wallpaper-cf1-1280x1024.png
there are tons of these patterns on the net.
And the following is carbon look skin I made for a GTR2 mod using one of these carbon fiber patterns and the car template provided by the modders.

Even Pd have template for their cars, no matter if standard or premium. If a cars has no stickers they still need templates to map reflections correctly. Whit the car template changing texture on the hood is a matter of 5 minutes in photoshop.
I agree, I'm pretty sure it's just black paint. You see a lot of AE86s with black painted bonnets (sorry, hoods) and not so many with CF ones, so I would imagine the S.S. Version follows that trend.
Edit: the Bellett is an old, old wooden ship so I somehow doubt that's a CF bonn-- hood, black paint makes much more sense when you think about it.
Don't forget the Toyota Sprinter Trueno from Initial D, and the Carbon R (for those that just want to be extreme about carbon, lol)
Quoting myself from the other thread...
They should just step away from Standards altogether.
They should just step away from GT5 altogether. Why not focus on GT6 and make it the best game it can be?
JaySin85I also think it would have been mentioned in initial D, had it been carbon. Damn, I really want another stage of that show...
Because there's still more to come out of GT5.
Yeah, at the expense of GT6.
If you want to wait 4 years for a good game at the expense of you not getting any improvements for the game you are currently playing, go ahead. PD aren't high school kids, they know how to manage their time wisely.
Of course, you might argue that this time is used for making Standards glitter, but if so, all they are doing is wasting their time.
No one knows what PD is doing. I'm saying this only because I'm assuming that the Premiums will make it to GT6, but not the Standards.
Totally incorrect. Enjoy your 800 standard cars, museum cards, racing suits, racing helmets, horns, and unnecessarily complicated paint chip system while the obnoxious Forza fanboys enjoy well-thought out features like Autovista and Rivals mode.

I think this is an inaccurate statement. I'm fairly certain that the people that share my sentiments outnumber the people that share your feelings about those features. Plus, we both know there's countless so-called whiners like me, both on this forum, and especially outside of this forum where people are less likely to be GT5 fanboys. These people don't care for those features and would have preferred if PD used the time to address GT5's more pressing concerns. We're enjoying, a lot actually. And you can play your Forza if you don't enjoy those features, most people here do.
Two reasons actually:It seems rather easy, but why would you play GT5 if you think Forza is better? In any case, do whatever you want and don't whine about it.
How do you know there are more GT5 gamers who dislike the game more than like it? I'm not a fanboy by any means, but those who only complain should have better things to do. Certainly, I want more content added for GT5, but I don't go around screaming it in everyone's face, saying how because one game has this, so should this game.I think this is an inaccurate statement. a) Then how do you know what FM4 is like?interpolfan11Two reasons actually:
a) My parents and I can't afford a PS3 and an Xbox 360 and a racing rig.
b) Stop putting words in my mouth. I never said Forza was a better game. GT5 surpasses FM4 as a game based on driving physics alone - and nothing else.

LarryLI think it's SO hilarious that Forza fans, who are fans of a FAR inferior product in almost every way in terms of being a racing game (let's be honest here and not even put the word simulation in there), think that THEY are the ones who know what Gran Turismo needs to be doing to be "good".
I don't give 2 ******* ***** about what Forza fans have to say about GT. Their opinions are just drivel in terms of Gran Turismo. You think an arcade racer is a sim. Game Over. Nuff' said. CU-L8R. Forza now is about as much of a sim as GT3 was (i.e.: it wasn't).
The only thing Forza fans are right about GT5 needing is a livery editor. And it's really just a fluke that they're right about that because it just happens to be the 1 thing Forza has that GT5 doesn't have or do better. They didn't come up with that by logical, sound reasoning (if they had that they wouldn't call Forza a sim). It's just the one thing they have, so they MUST say it. Them being right is just a fluke. Anyone with half a brain could tell you a custom livery editor is nice and something people would want. You may as well tell me I need oxygen to live. Thanks for the news flash.........
If you people (Forza fans who think they know best about what GT should be doing) knew or cared about racing games, particularly the Sim sub-genre, you wouldn't be on this forum trying to make Gran Turismo more like Forza and less like Gran Turismo. You'd be on the Forza forums trying to get Forza to be more like Gran Turismo, and less like Cruisin' USA.
Thank You
Mismanaged time? It was the majority of people who were whining like little kids about how their GT5 hasn't come out yet. They were the reason it was released in such an unpolished state. Now, PD is trying to fix that.b) Again, the so-called whiners like myself complain about these features constantly. And if you stepped outside the gtplanet bubble, you'd realize that GT5 has turned into a bit of a laughingstock, partially due to the mismanaged time that yielded those mostly unwanted features.
I like when Gran Turismo fans can also be Forza fans. I don't own an xbox. However, I do think Forza 4 has a better selection of cars in a way. I would not trade GT5's for it though. I do think, however, that PD could learn a couple things about car selection from Turn10.

If you look at real life pics, it doesn't look like CF:

I wouldn't say that forza is an arcade racer, more of a quasi-simulation racer (leaning towards but not to the simulation side). I will say that I like GT5 better, though it is unpolished it is much more engrossing and the fact that it is a little less open makes you see new features all the time. I do think that GT5 needs a livery editor to replace the racing modification system, it would be easier for PD than remodeling nearly every car and changing physics variables and would give more customization. If they add more body kits to the next GT I will be in heaven with the customization.I think it's SO hilarious that Forza fans, who are fans of a FAR inferior product in almost every way in terms of being a racing game (let's be honest here and not even put the word simulation in there), think that THEY are the ones who know what Gran Turismo needs to be doing to be "good".
